I gotta tell ya, a lot of the time I'll put the leftover brine into a little plastic screw-top container and throw them in the fridge then pipet them out til they're gone. They'll keep in the fridge for three or four days. Sometimes it's just easier than filling th ecubes. Both work well. And thanks for the sub!

I originally saw this recipe on a video by @keepingfishsimple and he used plain table salt. So I just stuck with that. Offhand, I really can't imagine why iodized salt shouldn't work. Thanks for chiming in! 🙂

Please tell me how you rigged the bottle to insert the airline. I don't see it leaking. Thank you for sharing,!!!

It was just an option for storing the excess. Now I put my leftovers into a plastic jar with a screw-cap and put them in the fridge. They'll keep two pr three days like that. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for lookin'!

That has been a while. It was an eBay vendor. Search co2 bottle cap and "in fish & aquarium" should come up. There are several vendors to choose from. There's one with 6 pieces for $9.01 seems about the best. I hope this helps.

Of course. It’s the ambient room temperature at about 78 F. Sometimes warmer, sometimes cooler. It’s in the garage subject to outdoor temperatures. There is a mini-split ac that keeps the temperature fairly stable. My understanding is they‘ll hatch in a fairly wide range of temperatures. The tanks are lit for about 12 hours and one of the lights is an led flood above that indirectly lights it. I’d like to figure out how to raise them to maturity. It does help, thank you. My biggest problem is having unhatched or hatched eggs at bottom of hatchery mixing in with live brine. You seem to not have that problem at all. I wonder what I'm doing wrong? I use the Ziss hatchery, which is the "best" off the shelf product but still have problems with harvesting. Thoughts? @@garageaquatics2023

The bottlecap you use is that standard size?

The bottle caps are a standard size for typical plastic water and soda bottles. The one thing I noticed was one of the bottles I first tried had really short threads and the cap didn't seat well. So bottles with threads of about 1" worked best for me. I found the caps on eBay searching CO2 bottle caps. Thanks for looking!

Refrigerator as in the freezer ? Or normal compartment sir pls guide me. Im from india and here its very hot which indeed makes the cysts hatch rate go super low. ....

I live in the desert here in Southern California, and it gets 'stupid hot' in the summer months here as well. 120F+ much of the time. I'm keeping my brine shrimp eggs in the refrigerator - not the freezer. I just google searched "keeping brine shrimp eggs in the freezer and this was the top response: "Brine shrimp eggs, also known as cysts, can be kept in the freezer for long-term storage at or below freezing temperatures. They can remain dormant for up to two years in dry, oxygen-free conditions, even at temperatures below freezing." I think the main take away would be keeping them dry. I hope this helps! @@garageaquatics2023 I just kept my artemia eggs tin wrapped in a plastic cover in my refrigerator.... question here is can I scoop up directly from the tin kept in the fridge and add to the hatching kit or do I need to keep it under room temperature before using Mr. Ron ??? I read something like to keep some portion of it outside the refrigerator that you gonna use and store the rest in the fridge as it might affect the hatching rate of the cysts. ???

@@Fin_flare_aquatics I do keep two containers - both in the refrigerator at all times. I put a small amount in a smaller plastic containter with a screw-top cap that seals tightly. That's what I use to put into my hatchery, and I refill that container as necessary. I only keep about an inch in that container. The remainder of the eggs I leave in the original can covered with the plastic lid that came with the Brine Shrimp Direct can. This way, the main can stays sealed most of the time and is only opened when I need to refill the small container that I use for the hatchery. This way it's the smaller container is the one that is opened and closed more often. I hope this makes sense. 🙂This just ight make a good video. I'll work on that!
