Hi Adele 👋 Thank you so, so, so much for your lovely comment about our house extension 🏡 When we bought the house we had the vision of extending it due to the unusual end plot, its worked out better than we could imagine and we are very lucky to call this place home ❤️ Maybe some tinkering with interior walls for a better layout but all in all super happy and an experience of a lifetime. Its great you guys love it so much. The kitchen looks like it hasnt been done yet though. Hiding appliances and adding trim to top and bottom of wall cabinets and a cohesive design go a long way. With really good design the kitchen could easily have had an island with seating and even more storage but would have looked less clutered and more stylish at the same time. But who cares, you guys love it and its exactly how you want it !!!

I love your extension and can see you're si thrilled with it. However the only small change I would make is the upstairs full length window should be able to open. You'd appreciate it during the hot summer months getting some airflow, through, but it's a small design point. I can't get over how grand it looks

Great video, I am currently 2months in to a 6month triple storey extension and remodel. I’d be very interested to know costs of your extension, I saw another comment that you wouldn’t post as costs change, but I do think its content many would be interested in (particularly me!) but it’s your personal finances so your choice to disclose or not 😊. Cheers pal and yeah I tried to make it as smooth as possible but walking round the building site was hard. Tried to smooth it out and stabilise it, get the steps out and it went funny. Glad you enjoyed our house extension though mate

Nice the only thing I would of done is put in a downstairs toilet and utility room....really like the outside....!

Great build mate, will add a lot of value. I’d have been tempted to go that extra meter wider, give yaself more room in bedroom and kitchen for an island. But that’s personal preference 😊

As an architect, I'm also glad you didn't get that extra metre done on the side, it was definitely a happy mistake. Otherwise, it definitely would have looked too big and out of proportion with the existing house! the scale definitely works really well as it is.

Great extension jonny, the roof tile on the porch are they the same as the main roof. Looking at your neighbours they looked different so was that part of planning application. Please could you dm you builders details as planning for extension myself in Manchester.

Hi mate no issue changing the roof slates mate. They were different to what we have. The neighbour is the only one in the neighbourhood with similar tiles pal. Sorry builder wants nothing to do with this pal, he is super happy and settled with his work flow mate. Sorry about that

Hi pal thanks for your kind comments about our home extension. If you loook on the video you can see where the garage was in relation to width. The width from the external wall is 4m out. So just a bit larger than the inside of a garage I think. Length wise it is longer about 8m long from the back of the extension side to the front window. Cheers Sharpey mate it was one hell of a journey mate, but TBH I absolutely loved it, mainly caused I had huge trust and belief in my builder mate. That step is so imprtant in your extension, trust your gut. We have paused the en suite mate and probably going to do it this year TBH as the wife keeps moaning at me and it too far to walk for me in the middle of the night for a pee (Too much info but hope it made you laugh 🤭

HI pal, it was discussed with planning TBH and I cant quite remember but there was a adjustment we had to do, because i didnt want the door as it ruined the flow. I cant remember if it was the heat detectors or not.

Hi Pal, I do not share the cost of the extension due to having so many variables that affect pricing mate, like location, covid hikes in prices, etc etc. Get 5 quotes is my advise

Reason being it depends on so many things like location, covid/ no covid (this affected us), specifics of job, type of ground, etc etc so I feel if I shared my cost it has the potential to mislead people.
