Step-by-Step Guide: Wire Wrapped Pendant Tutorial

Welcome, everyone! Get ready to be inspired by this exciting video! In this tutorial, we explore the art of traditional Banded Bezel frames while putting a modern twist on the design. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refresh your wire handling skills, this video is perfect for you.
In the beginning of the video, you'll find the tools and material list, as always. Additionally, I've provided timestamps and a list of supplies below for your convenience. Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance throughout the process. And don't forget to share a picture with me if you create your own masterpiece-I'd love to see it! You can find my social media links below.
This month, we're focusing on returning to the basics and learning wire handling techniques. We'll begin by demonstrating how to capture a beautiful stone using the Banded Bezel frame. Then, we'll guide you through drawing wires down into a unique design. If you want to add some texture, we'll even show you how to hammer the wires (this step is optional). Lastly, we'll introduce new design ideas that incorporate these wires.
To provide you with more inspiration, I'll be showcasing a few BACK TO BASIC wire wrap frames using different shaped cabochons. This way, you can see how to wrap and design around various shapes. Get ready to have fun and let your creativity shine!
Thanks for joining me on this wire wrapping journey. Don't forget to like this video and subscribe to my channel for more exciting tutorials. Now, let's dive into the world of wire wrapping and create something beautiful!

    Thank you. I knew how to do the basic wrap, but you ave given me the tools to take this type of wrap to the next level. You are softly spoken, patient, and very slow, giving the viewer time to see exactly what is going on, and to fully understand the methods, and how you are manipulating the wire. You are a wonderful teacher, and I applaud you for taking time out to help others to share your amazing design and talent. A million thank tous , bravo !

Practice or put a hard book cover in between to start. Do you have a tutorial for it. You explain everything. Connie❤

    If I'm reading this right... you're getting nics on the opposite side that you're hammering? "... but still get nicks on the other side...." if this is so, and the nicks are not on your hammered side, then it's your bench block... if it's pitted or if it has debris on it, the underside of the metal can definitely get scared as well. I've never tried anything between my hammer and the metal, I feel you'll get texture on the metal if you're hammering over towels or cardboard anyway... but again, I've not tried that. Please try to tell me a bit more detail Connie, thank you!

    @@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry i do have scratches on my block. I did just get an adrenal. I’ll research more on how to use to flatten your wire with it. That should be okay wouldn’t you think so? I want to invest in some good quality tools, rock tumbler n how many yards or ft. is a pound or the rio granda wire you use. ?

    That is a beautiful frame Izzy. A video I would like to see or open for discussion: which stones are too soft to patina (darken the wire). I have a couple of opals and amber and I am afraid to patina the wire around them. I am cannot wait to try making this bezel. :)

  • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry

    @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks again, Genni! I have both opals and ambers... if you can wait, I can make a video using my material to make sure you don't ruin yours. I've done it before, but I don't dip the pendant, I use a small brush and paint the LOS solution onto the wires.... that's the easy part. The harder part is polishing them out without scratching your very soft amber or opal. Let me give this better thought on how to show us what I do. I hope that at least helps for now. Thanks again!

    Hi there, I am just starting to wire weave and wondered if you have a list of wire types/sizes that I should start with? Also, how do you sell your jewelry creations?

  • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry

    @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry

    10 ай бұрын

    Hi thanks for watching, Aleita... regarding what wire types/sizes to start with... really depends on what type of wire wrap jewelry you want to create. If you are working my patterns, then I use 18 gauge, 20 gauge for many frames, both round and square wires, I use only Dead Soft wires, for weaving I like to use 28g and sometimes 26g, for ties, I like to use 22g half round wire many times... you should start perhaps, with figuring out what style you like best, dainty, big jewelry, hammered and layered, weaving?? This makes a difference as to what and how much wire you keep onhand. Regarding selling it... many of us sell online, at shows, through private customers, or all of the above most of the time. Hope that helps! Enjoy!
