I appreciate you! I love your/our Facebook community. This video was perfect. I used a vase to practice with my SeaBell nippers…but it was thin. Now I know-thicker is better. I can’t wait to start a project. My bestie wants a hummingbird, so that’s what I’m going to do. She’ll be very surprised. I’ll be sure to post it, however it turns out 😊

I would love to see it! Yes the thicker class is easier to shape, thin glass can crumble.

It looks like that resin is a game changer. I love how the flower petals are all attached. Seems like that helps with time and frustration. Keep hoping to to find some round frames…very difficult where I live. Another beautiful project Linda!

That is a great idea a Christmas tree is very easy. I always tell people to do something simple first so you do not get discouraged.

I just found your channel and love the results. Since you don’t cover the green grass glass with resin, do you add resin first?

I do put resin on it but just drizzle it over lightly. It is enough to hold it in place. But that is a good idea to put resin under then you could put less on top.

Linda, I have at least 2 punch bowls and ALL the cups I’ll end up breaking up. They’re thicker than I’ve ever cut up before Punch bowls are no longer popular 💁‍♀️

I loe this! Does the stained glass have to be tumbled with grit. I'm trying to figure out which tumbler to get but I'm on a budget lol. Aren't we all? lol

So I used to do it with grit and it gave it a rounded edge. Now I know if you just want the sharp edges off prob just about 1 hour. If you do not have that large of a tumbler you could just use a sanding block and go over it quick that would work too!

You said that you only needed to tumble this glass for an hour. Will an hour work for most glass? I really want a tumbler, but don't want to run up my pg&e

It depends on what effect you are going for. To create faux sea glass- smooth and rounded can take 4 days to 1 week with grit. If you just want to take the sharp edges off so no one can cut themselves 1-2 hours. I find the thinner glass takes closer to 2 hours while the thicker glass only takes an hour
