Step-by-Step Guide: How to Make a Macrame Daisy Keychain Tutorial

02:41 - Step #1 : Take 1 x 115 cm cord of Color #1 and make a Reverse Lark's Head knot onto the
Lobster clasp.
03:21 - Step #2 : Take 1 x 115 cm Color #2 cord and place it horizontally above the vertical cords.
Make a Half Hitch knot facing the inside of the pattern with both middle cords.
04:01 - Step #3 : Make a Double Half Hitch knot onto the left anchor cord, Repeat the same on the right-side.
04:43 - Step #4 : Fold over the 2 anchor cords on top of the vertical cords and make a Half Hitch knot on both sides facing the outer sides of the pattern.
05:19 - Step #5 : Bring the working cords from behind to the top of the pattern and criss cross them. Then make a Half Hitch knot on both sides facing the outer sides of the pattern.
06:01 - Step #6 : Finish off the rest of the Daisy similar to the first one made above.
06:54 - Step 7 : Continue alternating the coloured Daisies 3 more times below.
07:26 - Step #8 : Using a 30 cm strand of cord, make a Gathering knot at the bottom.
07:55 - Step #9 : Trim off excess cords and trim the fringe at the bottom

    Can anyone explain what she means by "facing"? If the loop of a half hitch is on the right and the tail of the working string is on the left, is that knot facing left or right?

    I love your tutorials...but I always wonder why you aren't using a macrame board with T-pins?

    I prefer using tape on my desk. It seems more secure for me! I do use a wicker mat and T pins when making smaller projects like earrings :)

    My cord isn’t covering the anchor cord very well. Is it because I’m not using single strand? Thanks!

    Hmmm, it may be - can you try pulling the working cords or anchor cords tight to hide them better? You can definitely try to adjust the knots after you've made them to have them cover more of the anchor cords.
