I ended up doing swiftcast for fire instead of ice, it makes the second fight a bit harder but makes the turtle more consistent being able to counter

@akhafasu my sequence. Enemy casts gravity well, I cast blizzaga, I pause game, play video, then hear you say cast dispel after gravity well. 🤣🤣🤣 ahhh shit! Can't take it back! It was funny lol

adamantoise is kicking my ass, lol. It's be nice the game more of diy arena, to familiarize you with specific enemy patterns. like Valkyrie Elysium, ff16 kind of had one, and many other jrpgs before. My enemy intel shows i've beaten 3 adamantoises in 200 hours. my best bet is probably going to temple of the ancients on easy or normal to get the timing for block down, and barrett being a slow mfkr is not helping. 😆

He’s easy. Use Fira to pressure him. That’ll stop him from throwing the red orbs at you. And try to just block all his attacks while dealing damage. If you get hurt, use chakra to heal

@@akhafasu Yeah i know. Your guide is comprehensive and I thank you for that. I'm just venting. It's mostly my aversion to using slow/tanky characters for extended periods of time in general. All the way back to Diablo II. I couldn't get a Barbarian past level 10 before I said, nah...this is going to be another mule. If cait sith couldn't separate from the moogle, chapter 11 might've been a dealbreaker for me. and i love this, and the original game 🌑

@@akhafasu aerith's slow speed does kind of make some sense if you take the weight of her staff into account. But that logic doesn't follow with cloud, then again, he's half mako infused basically., so i guess that explanation is as good as any in a final fantasy story :P

@@akhafasu this was the fastest i beat one of these trials from start to finish! i slightly modded the setup to include fire + HP absorb instead of Chakra and strength up, it balanced out the fire/ice weakness combo of these enemies, so you’re healed by them on some rounds and yourself on others. i accidentally cast firaga on the hell rider and it healed me on reflect and refilled my MP lol. oops 🤷‍♂️ 😅
