Step 5 of the 12 Steps

This is the 'dreaded' step in which we have to admit our defects to someone else - ARRRRRRR! I think the worse you feel before - the better you feel after - so chin up!

I’ve been a “Friend of Bill n Bob,” since 3rd October 1974, and just have to say, your rendition of the Steps, is as good as it gets. I enjoyed Russel Brand’s take also, but yours I feel is more palatable to “Newcomers.” One thing though, Bill Wilson did not write our beloved “Big Book,” howbeit, he was the primary writer. He is solely responsible for his, Bill’s Story, and the Chapter to Wives. The rest of the book, Alcoholics Anonymous, was a collaborative effort by the, “First Forty,” of the “Alcoholic Squadron, of the Oxford Group, from whence came the bulk of our program. Thank you for your Love, and front-line service, and for, “ keepin’ it simple!”

I like your videos, I've been struggling with intense negative emotions over the past few weeks and haven't been able to shake them off (you know when you get stuck in them you can't see any way out?) so hearing you talk helps me understand what is going on.

Urgh - negative emotions suck!! They just drag you further and further down don't they?! Have you tried mindfullness? It is quite good at keeping you in the moment and taking you're mind away from those negatice thoughts. It's a skill that takes a bit of practice but is so worth having! I have done a video or 2 on mindfullness so feel free to check them out. Hope you are ok. Lotsa love xxx

Hapst aye it is, so. Were raised believing in ghosts, faery & the little people. All feer the wooden spoon, believe in a schizo god who cherrishes us only to punnish us the more and weve the ability of flying into fits of terrific rage, at the push of a button and back to serene in a heartbeat. Theres a reason why Irish have been employed as body guards, since the Phaerohs. Even Alexander had his irish guard. Were very special people abroad. Too physically abled in many ways to be mixing well with others. We have near immunity to drugs or alcohol. Generally feerless. Were not knowing a childhood by any terms of the word, but learn work, brutality & harsh language early on. Seriously i couldnt tell ye how many times ive had to teach ones how properly to use a shovel. Psychiatry gets their knickers in a twist over us. Because the pattern doesnt fit. Freud or Jeung are defunct in regards to the irish psyche. We learn to be Brehon law people by default of family tradition. This makes us anarchists in the plebecite scene. Jees i can ramble. Your Irish, Your Lucky. For by Phuch, our irish god Your good looking. A daughter of Mil'e no doubt.
