Stencils and Fabric and Encaustic
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Have you tried using stencils or fabric with your encaustic pieces yet? Join me as I use encaustic over my stencil and pull out some cotton fabric to create highly textured pieces of art.
I started with a solid piece of walnut, added some chalk paint, tinted joint compound and rusty objects to complete the 2nd of three similar monument pieces.

You can use oil paints, pan pastels, India inks on the surface. I often use a roofing tar in small quantities as well. I use vegetable oil as my blending and cleaning medium

Can use glue to attach encaustiflex fabric?

Hi. My experience with fixing anything to encaustic with glue is minimal and unsuccessful. I have a little encaustiflex , but have not used it much. It will take encaustic so you shouldn't need any adhesive. Encaustic is not generally receptive to acryllic based mediums.
