Stencil Lifting with Negative Painting Watercolor Techniques. In this video I add some finishing touches to my sunlit forest scene using stencil lifting and negative painting techniques. For the month of September, we practiced painting forest scenes in my in-person classes and online KZread workshops. This painting was painted during a live demo and then in studio I decided it needed a little finishing. Trying to balance warm and cool and a have a greater range of values.
