I rather do bussiness with a company that goes for "what you see is what you get." Dbz sparking zero delayed the release until they feel that the game is finished. That goes a long way with first impressions.

And I don’t even mind throwing down a little extra cash a couple months after release for new story missions, weapons, skins etc. I remember when the OG MW2 had map packs. You’d pay like 15-20 bucks and get 3 or 4 new maps, a new gun, and a skin or whatever. Not that bad of an experience. But they just can’t go CRAZY with paid DLC like Destiny or (God help us) Suicide Squad.

Plenty of people own PS5's that are going to support this game and cause it to succeed, but it's more likely than not that, because of it's success it will have a PC release after the Sony 3rd party contract ends. South Korea is less console gamers than they are PC gamers, so it'll be encouraged to have a PC release. Also a worthy note is that Nikke more recently ported to PC from mobile. I don't see this game being a permanent PS5 exclusive.

In 2021, Yoko Taro's reaction to Stellar Blade was "BUY". In late August of 2023, NIKKE got a NieR Collab. In 2024 it's been announced that Keichi Okabe is the man behind the Music, who also worked on NieR: Automata. I was already sold on the game, but having Keichi Okabe? TAKE MY MONEY. I AM OFFICIALLY HYPED. I found this out a little while ago mind you, I just wish all of this happened closer to the release date. It's gonna be a long nearly 2 Months. But no seriously, we NEED a NieR collab for Stellar Blade. 2B Outfit at the very least.

Looking at it without context completely throws people for a loop, then when you finally get there at the end of the journey, it's one of those rare sights even today. Yeah man while I was watching this video hearing the rest of the news I was like "alright cool cool" but then he mentions MONACA and keichii okabe composing for 40 of the games tracks?!?!?! I fucking let out a fat "LETSS GOOOOOOOOO!" NieR:Automata is my favorite thing ever, in existence. Nothing tops it. So to hear that okabe, the fucking GOAT, the G, composing for this game that I was already hyped for because it's the first NieR inspired game and YOKO TARO endorsed and approved it himself. Plus it just looks like a great game. I'm hyped. Fuck anything else coming out this year, this is the game of the year for me if everything goes well. I have no doubts that the music and combat will be stellar (lol), now I'm just hoping that they nail the story and characters, because that's the 3 biggest defining characteristics of the NieR series. Story, characters, music. You can have really meh gameplay, but as long as you nail those 3 aspects your game will be forever timeless and enjoyable. So I must pray they can capture the magic of the story and characters like the NieR games have done.

Could you imagine if Shift Up or even Sony comissioned an anime studio (I.G. Productions for Ex.) to produce a OVA prequel for Stellar Blade?

Great summary and straight to the point. I'm very optimistic about Stellar Blade. The devs seem like they genuinely want to make a good game and the CEO is a gamer himself. We often complain about microtransactions, CEOs that only care about money (Good ol' Bobby), needless live service games, and censored content. Here's a game that is the antithesis of all that. I put my money were my mouth is and pre-ordered the game.

Fun Fact with Shift Up and Nikke, is some of the characters are named after fairytale characters like Snow White, and Red Hood, signifying Little Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella. I always found it pretty cool to spot those, and now with Stellar Blade.

Snow White is Snow White not Cinderella (Who will be known as Anachiro) and their names are actually explained (there is a Nikke serie called Grimm series which gives fairytale gimmicks related with their names; Snowhite for example has seven different weapons called Dwarves, from #1 to #7 xD)

Rise of the Rōnin, Dragon's Dogma 2, Stellar Blade, FFVII Rebirth, and Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Looks as if single-player games are still on a winning streak for another year. I can't say the same for "triple A" always online live service games. Well, in Ubisoft's case, it's "quadruple A."

Good game, good design, fun, beautiful, no problem if they release paid DLC. Ubi, EA and anyone else milking mtx in single player games don't even realize that it has to be appealing to make money. I am not a fan of Epic game and never played Fortnite but it serves its customer. Gives them what they want and then is copied by others but with no content people want. Ugly characters, agenda based stories, every ism represented and that accounts for about 3 to 4% possible customers. 7% at most and the 7%ers have proven they only change everyone elses hobby and products, they dont actually show up to buy them.

​@Ravagerblade A2 isn't all that marketable due to her lack of identifying characteristics like clothing that 2B has. A2 lacks clothing and her skin is largely peeled off displaying her android frame. Now while an A2 costume wouldn't really work the best, outright making an A2 model replacer for eve would work. Although that just might piss NieR fans off. I myself would be angry that the highest quality model of an Automata character was not in Automata itself. But I would also be happy to get a NieR collab in general.

What a huge breath of fresh air to see a high-profile game that isn't a vessel for "the message". I've been a big fan of Kim Hyung Tae and his art since the PS2 days - glad he's developed into such an industry heavy hitter and has brought his aesthetic along with him largely intact.

Pretty excited for this game. Mix of DMC, NieR and Bayonetta. It's a Korean game so not having the Japanese audio seems alright to me. I'm just going to play it with the Korean audio. I seriously hope the gameplay is good, so it's a massive success and we can get sequels. This has potential to be the next big IP.

But unfortunately, the Japanese dubbing is done by Stella Blade's Japanese publisher by hiring Japanese voice actors, so I understand that it cannot be officially used outside of Japan, probably due to regulations on the right to use voice actors' voices. If this game had been made in Japan, that wouldn't have been much of a problem, but since this game was made in Korea, I think it's something that can't be helped.

@Coops1992 no hate I own a PSP, PS4, PS2 Slim, and PS3 and am considering purchasing a PS5 depending on how long the wait for a PC port will be for this and GTA 6. PC is the future, Sony doesn't have much to offer besides exclusives, and they don't have the cult following of Nintendo. If the PS6 comes out it won't be for at least 4.5 years, and even then it may never come out, and will likely be the last Playstation or at least Playstation as a singular platform for gaming, maybe as a pre-built PC that works as a optimization pre-set for studios to make for PC games.

The flash of the ESRB rating early in the video is a misdirection. South Korea has the GRAC (Game Rating and Administration Commission), not the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board). Their rating system doesn't have an "AO", and their "+18" is like our "M" rating.

Good to hear that about the character development. I’ve heard a lot of criticism that they only cared about making her attractive but gave her no personality. Before now, I was wondering if the Stellar Blade game might end up being just some other game, but with a very attractive playable character. Whereas now I'm truly eager to play the game with the game character Eve. And I'm really interested in how Eve's personality evolves through the game and her relationship with the companion characters. As that to me, is a very important aspect!! So overall I thank you very much for sharing all of these details about the game!!

This is a win. And it isn't going to stop anyone under 18 that really wants to play it. How many 10 year olds played GTA5? 18+ rating means we can get all that much more fan service. Bring it on and take my money!
