@BrendanMacWade We aren't gaining anything, really. This is everything they took away 15 years ago. We have had a $4 an hour raise since 2003. We should have gotten all this back many years ago. Long history with the union, and this still doesn't make up for all they took away. And it takes 4 years to receive what they are proposing.

Reopening a shuttered plant is historic my brother UAW member local 1268 has been going through hell since the day in December 2022 a week before Christmas all the members of local 1268 were told the plant was closing and jeep going to Mexico. My brother also went through this hell when the Fenton Missouri plant shuttered so thank you to All The UAW members who STOOD UP!!!!!!

Never been an autoworker, and never been in a union, but I will forever remember what I was doing and where I was sitting when I watched this video. History has been made. I want to thank each and every UAW member and the fine leadership they elected. This is real teamwork, and real leadership!! When you have that, you have family. I have MUCH better hope for the success of all these companies now that I know the people who actually do the work are earning a real living and a secure retirement, and above all are just being rewarded fairly for their contribution to the business where they dedicate their lives. It's important for the community and the quality of the product they make. I can feel good about investing in American auto manufacturing now.

We can thank the UAW for an increase in vehicle fleet cost. A vehicle is the absolute worst financial investment a person makes in their life and they just got higher. New F250, 4 door, 4x4, MSRP $97,000 new 10 years later it might be worth $30k (maybe). That is a LOSS of $67,000 dollars. We should be doing everything in our power to reduce the cost of a ridiculously high money looser like a car/truck.

And i am now ashamed you thought this was a good deal. Temporary full time? The attendance policy? Only 1 chance to go where they offer us then were stuck at our home plant? Everyone i have talked to agrees this is a no vote. Its like a bad movie, all the good parts are in the high lights but once you see the full movie it sucks

A huge thank you to the bargaining team for not making me have to move away from my family. I have had a lot go on and I know what people sacrifice when they transfer. My dad was a transfer to Belvidere in 81. Now I have less than 5 years until I retire and I can now retire from my home plant BAP! Also a huge bunch of gratitude for getting us a product! From a single mom thank you so much for all you did to make us proud to be a UAW worker again!

The UAW should fight the dealership franchise model as well and transition to direct sales to customers. This will make cars vastly more affordable and provide job security for the automotive workforce.

I was a union member for 25 years and I’m here to say I’m very very proud of all of you members. The I A M was my union here in Fresno Calif. and I was never proud of any one of our contracts or my union . We went on strike 3 times just to try and keep what our employer was trying to take from us and sometimes he took from us. Scabs entered our company on orders of our union leaders not to stop them- which is a downfall. I’m so proud of your union- keep up the great fight to better your lives.😊
