Nice hotel, thank you again Mr. Tsumbu for your continued great work! Is there a market in Kinshasa for all these hotels, restaurants etc. According to the World Bank In 2022, nearly 62% of Congolese, around 60 million people, lived on less than $2.15 a day. Some of the prices in these places are comparable to prices in countries like US where the GDP per capita is $76000. Who are the customers who can afford these goods and services? Mainly foreigners and business people?

Hello, You’re welcome ☺️ All the numbers you just provided don’t take into account the informal economy. Yes, there is market for these hotels, maybe not a large one, but decent enough to keep these hotels afloat

@TsumbuUmba Great point on the informal economy. Although when informal economy means corruption it becomes problematic. Thank you for showing us what is possible though. A public/private strong partnership will most likely be what will lift many out of poverty and help DRC infrastructure and economy as a whole. So thank you for showing us what is possible there!
