He was supposed to be just an opening act with 3 songs, but an hour before the show started he was told that he'd be performing this song with Mr. David Foster. Imagine having no proper rest yet after the festival event the night before then the travel back to Manila and then just less than an hour to practice the song. He was clearly nervous, even made the sign of the cross during the introduction when Mr. Foster was talking about Celine Dion.😂 But he is Stell, the Ultimate, of course he'd nail it. A'tin are so proud of him.

I was there last night, and you can see the anticipation of the audience as he goes for the high notes. Everyone's silent till he hit those, and suddenly the crowd went loud. Surreal moment. It's like watching your child perform. Proud is an understatement. 🙌

What amazes me is that, although we know he can do it, and did it before, this time, he was not mentally prepared for this performance but took the opportunity nonetheless and nailed it. I know they did a run or two of the arrangement a couple of hours before the concert, but he just came from another concert in Mindanao, went straight to Araneta from the airport, got glammed up and then sang his heart out for the opening. Just wow for his stamina and his presence of mind, on top of his talent.

All berries turned into a proud mother last night regardless of age 🍓🍓🍓. He’s incredible indeed.

The little boy singing over the electric fan to test the sound and pretending to be a singer has now actualized his pretend play 😊 i have so much love for Stell ❤❤❤

Stell is just crazy good. This was not on his opener setlist and was a same-night request to perform All By Myself as part of the main acts! This was coming off SB19's perf in Agusan the day before and from singing 4 belty songs earlier that night as the HITMAN opening act. Have you watched how David Foster introduced this song on stage as a challenge? The pressure must have been immense!! Lucky they had a diamond on stage. 😊 Edited: removed "impromptu" so my comment won't be misleading :) since that implies unrehearsed... But that was still last-minute almost no prep cray cray!!

He barely had any rest just to think that he had a high fever before the luanching of Room then they went to Agusan with his team and performed 😮 He really is a different breed he's built different!!

I am nervous and I cried while Stell sings....omg...he did it...I love you my son...I am so happy to see you on stage despite the rain last night...

The first time he sang this in their online concert a few yrs back was already great. But some reactors even had the guts to criticize him in that perf. saying it's all thanks to the some autotune .. Now I wonder how that reactor will react once he saw this live perf with David Foster himself. I'm so proud of our HEAVENLY VOICE, STELL! Those sustained high notes were crystal clear. Thanks for the RV!

Haha. Yes! I saw some comments na it was lip sync. Nakipag sagutan pa ako doon na it was not. Sa sobrang galing ba naman sabihan nila auto-tune. This performance of Stell is a big slap to them.

Unlike other artist/singers stell and other SB19 gave us that incredible feeling of a "proud parent" it seems we are really connected to them ..because we know their story and how they achieve every dreams they have. 😊 ❤

Witnessing SB19 grow as a group and as soloists to who and what they are now, makes me proud like a parent would watching them all taking the global stage!

He was just invited by different music maestros. Really an amazing singer is Stell.

Contrary to what others were saying, this was not impromptu. Although he was told on the day itself, I believe he also rehearsed at least twice, especially since there's a slight difference in the arrangement. Stell prayed, "Lord, please take care of my performance". And I love him more for this.

But it appears that he did not rehearse this with sir David as he even thought Stell is a girl. Edit: Saw Stell's vid, that he did performed it with sir David. He was supposed to do his own soundcheck but sir David was there and asked him to sing All by myself. After singing, sir David asked Stell if he wants to perform it on the concert. Wow just wow! This is on-the-spot. 1 time singing before the actual concert.

Still not originally part of the concert. He was initially just an opener. He may have only known that he’ll be singing with David playing the piano a few days ago. Definitely a very short time to prepare mentally and psychologically. Stell is that amazing to pull it off after a few runs the day of the concert itself. :)

Maybe he rehearse on his own not with David Foster coz when David called Stell, He said sorry coz he thought that Stell was a girl.. and If u can check a better angle where you can see the reaction of David especially the last part, u can see he was shock for hitting that note which I think it's higher than the usual or I don't know but u can see he was shock..

This performance is impressive to the core, but what makes it even more incredible is that it was unplanned, not part of the concert repertoire, and an impromptu challenge by David Foster for Stell. It's even nerve-wracking because the song has "impossible notes." Stell had already sung three high-pitched and vocally demanding songs, and to top it off, he's not in the best condition (he's sick). I had to mention, too, that a day prior to the concert, SB19 had intense performances at an event. And the elephant in the room-he's a man, hitting the piece in female key cleanly.

David Foster knows who can sing. Stell sure does! 🤯 Add another 👍 singer from The Philippines 🇵🇭.
