There’s a bunch of advantages to it. It contests super well, prevents fouls, keeps you in position so you don’t go flying even if they fake, and for some reason if makes bailouts hit your body a lot too. And if you have pogo stick a lot of times you can attempt a swat block or rebound or both right after.
