Really like that lower column bearing you come up with ,,nice 👍 👍 👍 👍
Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
That's a great lower bearing upgrade. A well designed and engineered product! Great to see you being so thorough, but didn't expect anything less from you.
👍
Nice video thank you I feel I can do the job on my 2WD now appreciate you 😊👍....
Liked this rebuild. Would be interested in seeing a steering box rebuild. Last time I checked, rebuilt boxes were very expensive.

I just paid almost 600 tax and all for a red head box for 74 f100 4wd and that was with the core. It would mess up a grand without a core to send back. I put a 77-79 box in it to get away from that power assist crap.
Nice, I’m installing one in a 68’ f100 today
Fireman 🔥🔥🔥
Nice. 😊
Nice work. Got sloppy steering in my 93. Not sure whats up just yet, but agree, a steering box rebuild vid would be nice to see.
That's a lot better!
Smart move with the blue thread locker, if it had been me and I didn't use it, the screws surely would've backed out in short order. 🤠👍 Stayin tuned!
Excellent upgrade but, hey, the old bearing and bush lasted a long time and our machining technology has come a long way. I have driven vehicles with bad steering column rattles and it is not fun, I was in a 64 Chevy Impala doing the most she could on highway (about 95) and the whole dash was jumping around. Oh, the joys of youth.
That modification is pretty pretty spiffy. I like. I agree nothing worse than a steering column like the old Model T Beverly Hillbillies truck.. Emmmmm Doggies! Jed
Nice work!
Since I used to own these rigs new, that part would of been nice to have. Too simple and can make myself now that I see it.... only I am too dang old to drive or have a nice rig again... sweet.... hope the 337 is together by now
👍😎
Nice👍👍 👋🥖🇫🇷
That bearing is great, I think I will be getting one for my 1970 High Boy!
as usual, concise and clear instructions...DRB are some sharp folks..btw..how bad is the steering wheel fractures? do you plan to replace?
That is definitely a nice little up grade for a good old truck. Enjoying the more regular videos you've been posting recently.
Definitely the New Design is Far better on the Steering Column. Great Find for sure Your getting the Old Girl back in shape...Great Video..
Good stuff. I would have liked to watch the whole process. Pulling the old one, clean up the plate, put on the boot, drill the holes, etc. If you film it it is probably the only video on the Net of the process and that makes it cool to watch.
Nice fix. That new bearing will be great.
The rubber lasted 50 years and just now broke but thats to help with moisture and vibration to make the bearing and column to last longer away from moisture seepage
Definitely a bit better than the OEM style, I really don't think you'll have to service that for a good long time if at all
You make excellent videos son. Keep um coming.
Excellent video. Really enjoy your content!
Just one observation on the replacement bearing - you have to drill out 4 spot welds - so why not design the set screw layout to use the 4 holes you just drilled rather than drilling 3 more ?

Here’s some part numbers. Original Ford: E2HZ-3815-A. Rockauto: 2500600 Napa: P861
Wish I could find an inner shaft for mine not having any luck some dumb dumb cut a few inches off the end of the shaft and welded it back together I don't trust it

Dang, yeah I’ve seen a couple of them welded up before. If you had a machine shop v it out and weld it up I’m sure it would be fine. Perhaps put a sleeve over it too.

That's what I thought you'd think In ks I'd find one. Those trucks we're all over in the fields few years ago but iron prices ate a lot of that good stuff
