  • @rticle15

    2 жыл бұрын

@@scotthart6237 Ive read about that. I cant recall who else i read about doing off-stage backup for Ozzy. I wish more older rock bands would do that. But bring the supplemental singers on stage. Be up front and give them some exposure for it. Kiss is a great example. I want to see Paul Stanley but another younger singer with more range could fill those gaps while not taking away from the show, in my opinion.

I hated Nirvana. Pearl Jam I could tolerate. Alice in Chains was pretty sweet. Chris Cornell, made Soundgarden tolerable. But those guys from Seattle, sure put a lot of good bands out of business. But it wasn't entirely their fault. Bill Clinton in his cronies figured out that they couldn't shut up people like Ozzy Osbourne. Or Dee Snider. But they could use the federal government to put the screws to the record label. The Telecommunications Act of 1997 reduced the amount of record labels in the market from 44 to 6 they say. Clear Channel, iHeartRadio, bought up as many rock and roll stations as they could under the new laws. And converted them over to rap or country. Today, everything has to be Disney Radio friendly. I respect those hair metal guys for not selling out to Disney. And the ones who did... Weren't really musicians in the first place.

I was a young Green Beret wannabe in 1991 when I saw these guys in a bar in Fayetteville, NC. They had all this hair and beautiful girls, all dressed in black, banging their heads. It was an amazing show that I will never forget - bought all their CDs and wore them out in the 90s - Rock On
