All I know is that Pittsburgh Dad's episode, on KZread, was absolutely EPIC! LOL So so funny. I have friends that are Bears and some even Ravens fans that watch his KZread channel regularly. That guy is funny, Steelers win, or even funnier when they lose! Treat yourself and visit his channel. 😂

The only quality quarterback play last year was when Rudolph started. He left, Mitch was cut, and Kenny traded. Wilson, Fields, and draft a rookie. It looks 100% better already in 2024.

I’ve been watching Gerry Dulac do these little brief interviews on all kinds of networks since I was a kid. One thing has always been consistent: He is typically the FIRST one to get some Steelers news but rarely is that news accurate! I really think the teams sources mislead him all the time on purpose ! Especially during Tomlins tenure because Tomlin doesn’t like everyone to know what’s going on . Dulacs sources are usually giving him broad information that never sounds right ! But I swear y’all call this man credible and gloat about his reporting prowess like he isn’t just like most reporters that get 💩 wrong all the time! 😂😂

@@gregwilliams3120 exactly! He literally told everybody Steelers were running with Kenny next year for certain! And he’s here saying everything changed when Russell became available like the whole world didn’t know Russell would be released after Payton benched him. The only question on the table was who would want Russ , and where could he fit. People like Gerry Dulac and DK Sports, and a few other outlets that never wanted Russ here, slapped fans in the face with that reality to make us sick to our stomachs 🤢 😂 Omar knew along Kenny wasn’t it when he lied at the combine , that’s why he had been in the Justin fields trade talks before the free agency kicked off . 💯 in my opinion of course , I’m not close to the team lol

IMHO Mason Rudolph was marked for departure when he involved a lawyer in threatened defamation over the Myles Garrett allegations. Remember that the Steelers were involved in litigation in 1976 with one of the Raiders. The Rooney‘s, and Chuck Noll despised having to sit through depositions. They weren’t going to cut Mason Rudolph, but I believe there is no place for him because of how quickly he resorted to a lawyer, and would not be surprised if it was interpreted as a threat to the Steelers if they released him after the incident.

Y'all need to remember, Dulac works for the Steelers. Dulac will say what the Steelers want him to say. A lot of people don't know that Russ and his wife are co-owners along with a minority owner of Steelers in Acrisure the company who has the naming tights to the stadium. Playing in Pittsburgh was a no brainer. Also Kenny had tightrope surgery and was no way ready to return to play when they said he was and wasn't even going to attempt it. A lot is often not said for some unknown reason. Why is telling the truth so difficult for these teams.

Here's what happened! Russ wanted assurance that he was the starter. Steelers hesitated, wanting a competition, wanting to show some respect to KP. Russ said "no way". When they saw they were going to lose him to some other team, they gave in. No way there is going to be what Dulac is saying about a competition. He's just covering his behind because of his crappy reporting on the whole issue. If Russ, who could be on a short leash, plays lousy then they can try Fields and the season will be done

Russ had one bad season and that was caused by external factors. In 2021, Russ would have led the Seahawks on a tear if he hadn’t gotten injured. He was leading the league in passing when he got injured.

@@DeCurtaRican Yes you’re fair to say just truly one bad season (2022). Media pretty much revised it to including 2021, his last season on the Seahawks (losing season with injury) & 2023, since it resulted in Payton concluding that Russ couldn’t run that system. At the some time, all 3 of those seasons were huge let downs considering what was expected. Regardless, Kenny Pickett taking off for the Eagles where he has zero chances of starting is about the most un-competitive thing I’ve seen a young, recently starting QB do in years. Expected Kenny to act differently.

From what other reports have said, Kenny was told after they signed Russ that Russ would be the starter and that there would not be any competition as they originally promised. I thought he was a terrible draft choice, and a terrible quarterback. But there are two sides to every story, and I believe Tomlin and the Steelers may not have functioned with transparency and integrity. Most who leave Pittsburgh have similar stories and experiences. Hey Magic Kahn Get Me an Elite Competitior.. Kahn snaps his fingers and BOOM!!! A Field of Dreams and Wilson NOT Spalding imagined a Road Way to 7th Heaven and just like THAT.. Steelers will be dead last. Colossal mistake blowing up a first round draft pick on a rookie deal after one year when they had so many other problems on the OL and bad receivers. The steeler "fans" became irrational against Picket for almost no real reason and this was a sop to them. Wilson is 35 and declining bad. The Broncos are not eating 40 million and getting rid of him for no reason. Fields is a bust. How exactly the Steelers and their fans now have it in their heads that this is an improvement is a mystery. This is Cleveland Brown level bumbling and fantastical thinking. Picket had a winning record and was not even remotely a bust and they made the playoffs with him. He will get another chance if not nest season, the one after, and will be a very good QB and the Steelers will look back on this as one of the worst decisions they ever made. PS. This Dulac guy has no idea what he is talking about ever. Rudolph was never ever coming back. They did to him what they just did to Picket. The Steelers are a mess which is why Picket got out too.
