    FYI I am 153cm and I've had my leap V2 for just one day and already I know I've made the right decision. Immediately after sitting down and adjusting the chair to my liking I was able to work for hours without feel any back pain. Lastly, the legs on my chair aren't rounded so I'm able to rest my feet on the legs.

    You can remove the headrest by removing the backrest padding. There are bolts you can undo to release the headrest. Disappointing though that for the price that the headrest doesn't have more adjustments.

    My husband and I just finished trailing the leap v2, gesture, fern, and sayl. 5' and 5'6". Independently, we both ranked the chairs in the same order: leap >sayl>>>>gesture>fern. Leap and sayl were pretty close for comfort to us, but the leap raises a few inches higher and the adjustable arms pushed it over the edge for us as the winner. Leaning back on the gesture actually felt like the chair was attacking our bodies, twisting us into uncomfortable and unnatural positions. And the fern was so disappointingly uncomfortable. Appreciate you getting the leap headrest here so we could completely avoid that mistake!

    As a 6'4 guy using the Leap V2 with the headrest (got it on sale), I don't find the head rest to be an issue. When it's all the way down, it's basically just a place my traps touch and for me, it doesn't bother me. It's kinda comfortable like that.

I don't mean the Evo series, but the actual 24/7 Office Specialist, Expert etc. I am really intrigued how they hold up compared to other chairs like the Embody considering they are in the same price category. Counter review, when purchasing a decent office chair to work from home I tried a Herman Miller Mirra 2, Aeron and Logitech Embody, but didn't like any of them. Both the Mirra 2 and Aeron seat pan would give me thigh pains and the Logitech Embody would give me lower back pain (think this is due to the backrest making your neck lean forward slightly). Received the Leap v2 (no headrest) the other week and love it. The aesthetics are no frills, but the comfort can't be beat. I honestly thought I was going crazy spending lots of money on chairs for them to hurt after short period until I tried this one.

    I went with plastic legs on the leap, a lot better as not round or cold to touch. Also went with leather rather than mesh. I have no issues with the headreset, would be nice if it moved back and forward though. I rarely use the head reset, only when I completely lean back, which I rarely do. Also you didn't mention the arm rests move forwards and backwards which I find very useful.

    Im sitting on a Leap V2 right now and your comments about the 3d knit back and seats are spot on, it does get warm after a while It's still a great chair tho Im really happy about the independent seat adjustment. Very surprising to hear you shit on the headrest hahah mine came without it and I was thinking of buying an aftermarket headrest and putting it in myself Can you compare the V2 to the Herman Miller Aeron?

  • @Ahnestly

    @Ahnestly

    2 жыл бұрын

    I prob won’t do that comparison since I don’t have the leap v2 (I may do a how to get a used one though!) but they’re both fantastic chairs! Aeron has superior breathability and offers a more relaxed feel but no flexibility in how you sit. Leap v2 offers traditional fabric/cushion seating but much better and more aggressive lumbar with more flexibility in how you sit

Or purchase a 'like-new" used V2 with the same specs for ~$300 but with questionable to no warranty. If I'm not too particular about color restrictions in either scenario which would you imagine is the better option? I had to send the Leap back, but I would say both are a great fit - the Leap offers more flexibility in seating since it's padded all around, but is less breathable. It also gives you excellent lumbar support. The Aeron gives good lumbar support but not as aggressive as the Leap and is not as flexible in terms of seating, but is MUCH MUCH more breathable

    I'll do a tier list one of these days...lol. My top 3 would be embody, Aeron, and Neue chair but with a big caveat on the Neue. I think it has the potential to be one of the top chairs but the mesh needs work.

    I know this video isn't brand new but I have a question. What fabric choices did you go with on the chair? The back especially.

    @@Ahnestly I probably missed it. Been doing so much research on the Gesture vs Leap I miss certain small stuff. Your two videos on each of the chairs are by far the most informative. I'm a skinny dude at 5'10. Tried out both the gesture and leap in a store but neither had headrests and I want to have one. I don't mind if my head is always touching the leap headrest. Is there a good bit of padding at least? Edit: Rewatched the video. You said it in the first 30 seconds and it's also visually pointed out. I'm a dumb. Thanks for replying though. Been following you for a bit. Gonna be really cool to look back in a year and your channel is in the six digits.

    Great ergonomics, but the seat padding is really disappointing. I'm around 110kg, and after about 4 months of use the padding of the chair is mostly...not gone but it's nowhere near as comfy as before, with my butt constantly feeling a bit of pain. It's definitely a firm seat in the first place, but still, needs more support or thicker foam to be honest. At least you can take the seat apart and get it reupolstered, but that's just an extra cost on top of an absurdly expensive chair. Get one second hand for half the price and re-do the foam if need be.

    I purchased a brand new fully loaded Herman Miller Aeron Size C chair. $1,900 directly from Herman Miller. I am 6 foot 2 and a bit large. I had high hopes for this chair but to be honest I have only had it one day and already don't like it. The frame is very painful and digs into my thighs. It amazes me that they did not just add a way to adjust the seat depth so that it could go in and out. Some people say that I will adjust to the chair, but shouldn't the chair adjust to me? Is it normal to feel the plastic frame? All the movements of the chair are amazing. Its such a shame. I so wanted to like this chair. Now I am considering a Leap Plus? I just watched a video where a guy removed the lumbar support and he said it moves when you do not want it to move. It looked so cheap. I really like your videos? Do you have any chairs that you think I should look at. I think I am sending the Aeron back.

    i just picked up a used Leap V2.. and to be honest.. if i had ordered one brand new for $1k... i would have returned it promptly. this chair is NOT worth $1k on their site.. in fact if you pay more than $200 for this you're being ripped off. the universal arm rests.. suck. period. the plastic the chair uses is flimsy, and again.. for $1k.. its a horrible investment. the sliding lumbar option.. is usually removed by a quite a few people i've read about who ordered it with the lumbar option and may do the same to mine. it is a good chair, it is very comfortable.. but no lie.. dont pay anywhere near the retail price of $1k.. look for them used local and save some money.. i paid $150 used locally for mine.. and i feel the price is just right for it.. $1k.. laughable.. at best. really dig your videos, they are very imformative! cheers
