Hahah. They were not dropping character. Satchel was not being Russ for the interviewer at all. Didn’t go into the fact he played in a band with Paul Gilbert and Jeff Martin, studied with Gilbert in fact. And deflected the Halford connection to Michael. So good.

1:23 I like how in the subtitles they combined two phrases: "He shreds, dude" and "Mr. Big" into "Mr. Shred"

They always give Satchel the song writing credit in interviews. They put on the argument to deflect from that interviewer asking personal non-Steel Panther character questions.

Russ is a seriously talented and intelligent guitar player. You don't hang with Paul Gilbert if you're not. And once, just once, I'd love to have a serious conversation with Ralph. You know that, IRL, he is smart. Both are also family men (great family pics available on FB and if you Google).

This is one of the best no sense interviews I have seen of the mighty Steel Panther...they rock so hard it ain't funny! And the best RacerX song is technical difficulties, I dare Satchel to play it , wouldn't it be great to see Steel Panther nail that song???

These two were mad at each other that day hahahaha.

Satchel got triggered by PhD and Michael making jokes about the words EVEN when Michael took it down. Satchel needs to chill.

It sucks when an interviewer thinks he's being clever and brings up stuff that isn't relevant to Steel Panther. Normally the guys are great at deflecting those questions but this time it looks like he struck a nerve with Satchel and things got a little tense between Satchel and Michael.
