I'd actually pay money to see SP do an entire VH tribute gig; probably the only band on Earth that could pull it off and not make you feel like you're seeing a cheap imitation.

Before they were Steel Panther, Starr and Satchel were in Atomic Punk, a LA local VH tribute band. As you can see here and their other cover, they're very good!

Micahel's DLR is uncanny. These guys were once the world's greatest VH tribute band.

Love that Michael’s “studio” had a washing machine. Too real! We can relate!

On top of the fact that the entire concept of this band is just genius and hilarious, these guys are actually legit super talented.

I've been saying for years that these guys should do a double album of just covers...all their cover stuff they did back in the day was perfect. The VH, Journey, GnR, Warrant, Def Leppard etc. was spot on!

These guys offer one of only a handful of escapes left in the world. Please never change. Please never stop.

Satchal is unbelievably good. Most miss the whole point with these guys as a comedic band. Forever an outrageous hair band. But, Satchal's talent is no joke. You can really tell he loves it too.

Other than my pc needing a desperate replacement or it might self-destruct I'd say I have come a long way!

I come from the generation when VH was on top of the world. I’ve heard everything they ever did. I cannot tell the difference between them and SP. This is a perfect cover.

Michael Anthony’s bass parts are amazing

Very few bands would even bother trying to cover Van Halen, but dudes, THAT WAS JAM UP! Completely faithful to the original. Same vibe. Same "force a smile on your face" kind of atmosphere. If I heard this on the radio, I would think it was an alternate studio recording by Van Halen.

As a guitar player myself it pisses me off how F-ing easy Satchel plays the guitar. He makes playing Eddy look like a walk in the park. lol I first saw SP on YT as a funny band with lots of over the top T n A but soon realized these guys can rock... they were very smart to do what they did with their talents to make the career out of it they did. @@joelester4292 if you know the band Lexxi at best is a ok bass player..they use tracks live..Russ Parish plays everything in the studio And besides lexxi doesn't even have his hand on the bass during a significant bass line lol Any musician who knows anything could tell... Lexxi fits this band for his hilarious character His dumb blonde act ,which by the way he is in real life a actor, yes he plays bass but not good..look closely at them live...Lexxi is bouncing around barley touching his bass...yet its thundering lol Its it Russ aka Satchel

Fantastic !!! Vocals are DLR perfection . I have been playing Guitar 40 years and would easily put Satchel (Russ) in the Top 10 guitarists working & playing today without question . If you dont know he was in Rob Halfords mid 90's Band FIGHT and that 1st Record is a fucking MASTERPIECE !! Got to see then tour little clubs for that record and they were Metal goodness. Russ shinning bright with the Riffs and searing leads . Would love to see that band reform and do a record !! Halford had a cold but you wouldnt have known until he apologized at the end of the show and everyone thought he was joking but he left right after the show ended . We got to hang and drink & smoke with JJ the Bass player and I think Russ and the rest were going back and forth as we all got even more drunk then we already were . Great Concert ..........
