Memory's of 86/87, Friday, Sat, riding the big met up and down, tagging the fuck out of anything in sight, meeting up with who ever was about, going to the yards, fighting, stealing, getting chased by the BTP, staying out all night walking the tracks, racking paint,Beer, ETC...something to do wasn't it. The golden age, big up to desire, tilt, cast, hyde, set 3,coma, kiss 42,nice1, huz, mane, etc.

I was born in London back in July 1974 where I still live. Because I was born with a disability I had to visit hospitals regularly since birth, for my hospital visits I would always travel on the Underground, so by the time I was 3 years old I had developed a love for the Underground, I absolutely loved the old aluminium coloured Underground trains which I sorely miss. I loved seeing graffiti on the old trains. Unfortunately modern Underground trains look pristine and sterile thus are seriously lacking in character.

Wow, London used to be cool! Dude, let them graffiti!
golden age of graffiti
@mightyflux I just wish id taken more flix back then!, but like a lot of my generation of writers we really thought things would be that way forever!!
Ahh the good old days i started in the late 80s i used to roll with HELL , CREZ , STEAM , UNI , MANE , QUEST , ARTIST , REMIX cant remember the rest, i remember going on a train jam meeting up at Piccadilly with writers from all over London and jumping on the big met and bombing the shit out of it if you were there you know Salute !
GOLDEN AGE ! !! !!!
I do find it funny tho how most of the time, all u graffiti people went for the Circle Line trains, were they the easiest ones to get to?

During this period, the metropolitan (big Met) was hit in the 80’s but yards became too hot
Now it's mostly used by city types, bankers, suits etc.
Anyone know name of track at 18:25?
@Whirlytunes Thanks for posting this. Since I already know what graffiti was like in New York City I've always wondered how graffiti was in the London Underground. By the way do you know the name of the track at 48:19-51:10?
first track is EPMD - The Big payback, not sure if it;'s an instrumental mix or a recording of a DJ cutting between 2 copies.
