Stedman Triples at Emmanuel, Plymouth, Devon

Excerpt from a peal of Stedman Triples on this chunky, colourful octave. The bells were cast by Warner's in 1904, and rehung in 2008 by Bob Parker; as a result, they go very reasonably for a big eight. They sound surprisingly decent as well, with a good old style growl to them!
Tenor 19-3-14 in Eflat

Probably one of the best Warner 8's around! I have a real fondness for these, being on my patch! They are a great 8, I love them

I really liked them - easy to ring, growly and gutsy, OK not the most 'tuneful' (compared to what Taylors were churning out at the time), but pleasing enough and full of character. Would be very happy to come back here again!

@@simonbellringer agreed, did Warner ever produce Simpson tuned bells? These are as good as you get from that Foundry I think. I think they sound rather grand outside and very loud considering the proximity of the houses
