At last!!! Somebody on KZread who's made an actual SteamPunk project with not a single impractical cog in sight. I really love this torch and the way you made your own "sightglass" instead of using a pre-existing (and now very expensive) one. I might have to try that in my future projects. Please keep it up.
☕️ jijiji que arte, tú no te andas con boberias, todo un trabajo PERFECTO 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😘😘
Nice, has all the steampunk elements :)

I agree with you. I saw the thumbnail and thought I'd like to have a steampunk flashlight, but the video doesn't show you "How To". Great build but a waste of time.

@@donmiller2908 Given what is shown, if you already have these skills, it's not that hard to duplicate on your own. If you need step by step instructions, this most likely is out of your skill set.
@donmiller2908

@@leffjenn2440 - I disagree. Why would it be beyond my abilities if I had instructions to follow? I can guarantee you that a person who has never cooked before could prepare a good Béarnaise sauce, not an easy sauce to prepare, with the right instructions. What I'd like most from these types of videos is information on where to obtain the parts. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to make something I saw in a video only to realize I couldn't find the parts they were using.

I'm guessing the tube filiment would be too dim in most lighting and draw too much power from the battery.

I do like the asthetic but in my view steampunk should be a more old fashioned view on tech The amplifier tube was a very nice touch but i believe if you got the propper pinout you could have had the tube glow in its natural state in the flashlight with the use of a amplifier pcb And as for the leds i would have used incandescent bulbs since while they dont produce as much light they do have longer lifespans All in all though the way it was built was stunning

Did i miss something?.....Just watched this again and noticed something else where is the light source for the torch?..you show installing the LED lights behind the red acrylic piece preventing it from reaching the lens.so there's no way that can be the light source for the torch ..so where is the light source ?

Nice look, but doesn't really explain a damn thing. Doesn't even list the materials used, or where to get them.
If your going to show people how to make something you should show them everything...because there is no way that all those components just happen to be the perfect size to fit into the ID of those pipes

Chris Blunt you can speak for yourself but my knob would never fit inside such a tiny tube? I would be pushing my luck with a full size drainpipe! 😂😂😂
The issues with channels like this they figured out how to make something really nice but want to keep that method all to them self no supply list not even a place buy parts and why I do not sub to these channels what the point watching them build something that says "Steampunk Flashlight How To Make" but you have to figure out where it get the items to make it why??
Apparently you don’t know what steampunk means
