Hiện nay có rất nhiều các món ăn Việt Nam xâm nhập thị trường Campuchia. Hồi đầu năm 1993, KPC chỉ có những người Hoa bán cà phê túi theo kiểu xưa mà chúng ta thường thấy ở Chợ Lớn, hay mấy tiệm bán hủ tiếu. Người KPC khi đó, cả nam lẫn nữ không ai uống cà phê hết. Dần dần người Việt Nam mở bán, lúc đó cũng chỉ phục vụ cho phần lớn khách VN mà thôi. Không biết từ lúc nào mà việc uống cà phê lại bùng nổ lên và trở thành phổ biến đối với người KPC. Bây giờ thì khỏi nói, đến chỗ nào cũng thấy đầy người bán cà phê.

There’s also a lot of Cambodian dishes entering the Vietnamese market as well. Dishes such as Hu Tieu Nam Vang, Bun Ken, etc were brought over by Cambodian refugees into Vietnam. There is also a Little Cambodian in Vietnam selling Cambodian food. Where there are migrations of people, there will always be a culture brought in with them and modified to fit the taste of the local people.

The name of the restaurant literally has Vietnamese signs. Everyone knows bro. Khmer people always keep the original name of foods when they are introduced to something not native whereas in Vietnam, foreign influences are never recognized and the name of the dishes become vietnamized so people there always claim foreign dishes are their’s.
