For me, its peak was on 7,8 and 9, being my favourite episodes The Springfield Files and You Only Move Twice, and I think that in season 12 started its decay. What do you guys think?

For me, classic Simpsons died with Phil Hartman. Later seasons also had their moments, but overall it never comes close to the greatness achieved in the single digit seasons.

Decline began season 9. 138th Episode Spectacular was and is the best episode.

For me, the last good episode was Behind the Laughter which was also the last episode of the Spanish Homer: Carlos Revilla. Personally, the series never been the same without him. It's a strange coincidence.

If this was an actual full-on adventure game, I could imagine Seymour having to go on a number of sidequests before he could finally order something at Krusty's.

Well Seymour, this game lacks alternative routes or endings... but I must say, you make a good game!

There could be a ending where you keep the faucet open and you flood the kitchen, preventing the fire, but flooding the bottom floor.

I especially love the little pauses between sentences. A small detail that is completely accurate to games of the time. Very nice touch.

The very slight downsampling on the voices is a masterstroke

The player obviously flailing like "can't I at least put them on a plate?" was so authentic. Sometimes the use verb (or give, in this case) was all you needed and you found yourself overthinking.

Virtual Springfield was kind of close to this, but Simpsons getting a proper LucasArts-style adventure game like Beavis & Butt-Head, Duckman, or Daria did would have been amazing. The pacing in this video is dead-on authentic to these games!

@@riffretrogamer You should, if only to experience a little piece of classic-era Simpsons that you haven't before. Just don't expect TOO much of it though, really your only "mission" is "find all of the hidden character trading cards in the background" as you wander around town as an observer watching in as animated Springfieldians go about doing Springfieldian things. Troy McClure opens the game talking about randomly-chosen past games you may remember him from, so that is an immediate vote of confidence that even if there isn't all that much "game" there, any Simpsons fan is going to have a good time.

I don't know who to thank for making the "Steamed Hams" scene a popular internet meme in either 2017 or 2018. Whoever that is, we should all still give him/her alot of praise for it, even if the meme is already dead.

I can imagine Skinner having to find plenty of random inane objects that, through twisted logic, solve the various puzzles that lead him to buying krusty burgers

I love the idea of Skinner coming into the kitchen, and being completely oblivious to the burning oven for 30 seconds.

How appropriate, you steam like a clam

My brother had many of the games this is faithful to when I was very small. The endless short animation loops and sound compression are dead on.

My only gripe with this is that I wish the other vocal options were available and that you could actually pick them to game over in a very hilarious and unexpected way

I know, right? Back with _Sam & Max Hit the Road_ I only had the diskette version, so there was no voice. However, as I showed my friends the game, I gave Sam this vaguely hard-boiled private investigator voice while making Max sound like a Jersey reject. Once I got my hands on the *CD* copy of the game, as it turns out they gave Sam a somewhat hard-boiled private investigator voice and Max a New Jersey reject voice!

I would totally love a Steamed Hams game when I was a kid back in the 90's lol.

This is great! My only critique is that there is no music aside from the title track.

This is cool, but I'm _very_ disappointed there's no fire truck after pressing the "quit" button at the end.

This is so well made that looks like a fictional game that would be inside a movie or series but its imposible to exist on real life Like californication or the crash bandicoot parody that lisa plays in one episode

Now I wanna see "How many ways to die" in this game. lol

5:08 probably known but a small speedruning trick here if you select the look at to the painting and then hit the food bag then walk back and repeat the game cant handle it and skips to the aroraborialis scene
