The Steam Deck OLED is probably the nicest piece of tech since.... ever. I already loved my OLED Switch xD

Regarding the system, it solely runs SteamOS without the inclusion of the Epic Launcher, XBOX Gamepass, or any other launchers. Additionally, its performance is outdated. Opting for devices like the Legion Go or Rog Ally would offer superior value for money. However, if you primarily play older games and are not reliant on other launchers, the Deck might suffice for your needs.

Can you do microsoft excel, word, powerpoint on sd?

Steam deck should recognize external ssd in NTFS or ExFat format

Can you make video on how to install cracked games in there?

10 out of 10 is 60+ FPS on all Triple A games with atleast 5 h playtime. You people set for less and don't demand actual handheld hardware.

😂😂😂😂 the legion go with that pathetic ips screen with mediocre contrast and light gray blacks. No thanks...oh and as far as performance go watch professional tests for a reality check on how often the 1% are way inferior to the OLED deck. Enjoy your bigger and sadder display 😂😂😂

Champ after the ROG Ally and Legion Go, SD is underpowered and don't run all the other launchers plus its Linux, SD was good for the first device to set the standard now its falling behind.

Personally I think the Linux is an advantage over Windows. I really can't stand modern Windows anymore. I really hope at some point other devices like the Legion and Ally will have an option to ship with steamos.

Eh that’s more of you not knowing what you’re doing problem. Bit of google and the Linux desktop launchers that can be used for EGS, GOG, Amazon Game Store etc can all be setup and used. There’s loads of videos on KZread showing you how to do it. I have to say if you find that difficult why are you gaming on PC, really not very hard. The games that are a problem are anti cheat protected multi player titles unless the developer has decided to support the title on Linux.

@@eagle_rb_mmoomin_418 Considering my main desktop PC is Linux I think your assumptions are incorrect, it is just facts that Windows support so much more than Linux, which for my handheld gaming needs are met easier with the games I play are supported.

@@vex8667 The only games that don’t run are multiplayer anti cheat protected ones. Even that is variable as some developers do support BattleEye and Easy Anticheat on Linux. Who plays multiplayer twitch shooters on a handheld without M+K😂😂😂😂🤦‍♂️ You run Linux as your main😂, you’d know about all the alternative launchers if you did or your google fu is terrible.

@@eagle_rb_mmoomin_418 Of course I Know about alternative launches for Linux, I am not saying that the games do not work, when I grab my handheld devices I don’t want to be messing about with it or waiting for a work around when certain games come out, when I reach for my handheld I want to turn it on and play, no matter your opinion you know I am correct in saying windows makes it much easier to just turn on and play, it’s not the most widely used OS for nothing my friend, And what in the hell do I get out of lying to some random person on the internet about what OS system I use? I do use Linux on my main desktop and have done for around 6-7 years, the fact of the matter is, the Ally and Go are more powerful machines than the Steam Deck, I have a Steam Deck original, Steam Deck OLED and Ally, I use my ally for handheld gaming now because I get better frame rates, better resolution at 1080p and a easier time of just loading up any game and playing, shooters is also not my thing my the way, I prefer to play with mouse and keyboard but I didn’t buy a handheld PC to connect them, I really don’t understand your point or your fanboyism/shill for a multi billion dollar company that could not give a damn about you, just because you got a SD don’t mean you need to defend it even when you are wrong, I love my SD but my Ally is better because it has better specs, simple as that my friend.

Don't take this in a bad way. Steam deck is the dumb/ non tech savvy Ally and legion are for the smarter prepared people. Thus the steam deck will always sell / "be better" And the others will be the more powerful consoles.

Soon as he mentioned 1TB model I stopped the review. This model has the etched screen OLED display which dulls colors and contrast as well it gives an appearance of petroleum jelly smeared over the display. So everything has a hazy look to it. Unless the Steam Deck is the 512GB model which has a glossy OLED display, nothing else compares to it. This review is therefore CANCELED.
