I always love your videos. You're so chill, relaxed and they feel so natural and not rehearsed or scripted. I feel like you're having a conversation with me and that's fantastic. Your cander when reviewing and talking as a use is ao much more useful that all of the videos where people talk pure specs. Great video and a real chill yet honest vibe. Sub'd! I was not looking to upgrade my SD as I only purchased it a month before the OLED was announced (Dammit Valve!) but after realising how much I love and use the SD I finally caved. The battery life and screen alone are well worth it imo although the LCD deck is still an incredible machine.
I called you a Lenovo plant a little while back, I doubt you remember. You spoke highly of the Lenovo Legion Go, and i said i was considering one. It was your review that made me pull the trigger, as i trusted that you were legit. I have not put the thing down since. In fact, my Son is getting one for his Birthday. Being an owner of the lcd and oled I would honestly just wait not that the oled isn't great it most definitely is but it is what it says it is an oled sure you get a few more fps but it's not enough to where it is noticeable. me jumping back and forth between my lcd SD and oled I can't really tell all that much of a difference tbh besides colors being better and the oled not having the screen bleed like the lcd. The new thumb sticks are nice as well but because they resized them it's hard finding thumb grips for them ( I don't want my actual thumb sticks getting dirty ) but I'd say the thumb sticks, track pads, and screen as well as touch are the only real noticeable differences between the two. If you can just wait it out the SD 2 will be well worth the wait. enjoy the SD you already have as it's still a phenomenal device to own!

Thanks for your videos on Steam Deck and Legion Go because I was stuck between these 2 and now finally got to your video about choosing the Deck if I can't decide. Getting mine today and I am so exited to see how powerful it feels coming from a Switch😅. I do wonder if it is good enough to hold for a long time with not large hands.
Such a relaxed video instead of someone just shouting to the bloody camera... I ended up getting Legion Go not that I didn't like the Steamdeck but I wanted just that extra push for Gamecube/Wii and Ps2 Emulation. Plus the bigger screen size for my 50 year old eyes was a an extra too. The Steamdeck II when it comes out in 2 years will most likely be my next PC handheld as that will be more than powerful enough for what I want I imagine. Great upload my friend.

Can Elden Ring do its multiplayer with the Steamdeck? Or does the linux block it? Also what makes Elden Ring look better? Steamdeck? ROG Ally? Leigon go pro?
Thank you, which device reccomend this one or Lenovo legion go?
I’m both. I use the Steam Deck as a emulation home and portable console, and I also use it for most old PC games. I use my Desktop PC for all my triple AAA games, more demanding games, RTS games, other games from different launchers, etc. but here is the beauty of it all. I use Moonlight and Sunshine to stream my PC to my Steam Deck, so I can play these games on my TV in my lounge or portable around my home. It’s the perfect set up for me.
Alright... stupid question time. (Steam deck owners that possibly see this comment, please let me know!) What is the screen burn in time for oled? I play a lot of games with static elements on the hud, I mean... hundreds to thousands of hours on said games. Do I have to worry about screen burn in after just a few hours?
@CyberDopamine Hey :) I hope you can help me with this or anyone else: How noticeable is input lag on the Oled Steam Deck in your opinion? Im pretty sensitive about this and heard mixed reports about latency on the original Steam Deck. Like how is the Oled when compared to your desktop PC? And how does latency compare on it to the Ally or the Legion? And another thing: I'm worried about the SD being to big for my hands. I'd say I have pretty average size hands. Actually I measured it: My hand length is about 6,7 inches and my width is about 3,7 inches. Can you say anything to that? Thanks in advance!
@CyberDopamine
4 ай бұрын
The latency on the OLED is WAY LESS that the OG. Super good and up to par with the Rog Ally. As far as hand size goes, Big, small, wide, thin, it all works and is something your brain will learn to forget about after you put in a few play hours

Hey I just thought of something that could be useful for the viewers: If you separate the video into sections, like you did, put the timestamp/sections in the video bar where its easier to jump from section to section (idk what its called but its imbedded in the video progress bar/playhead) Keep up the good work!
I've been trying to decide between this and the legion go, and I think I'm going with the steam deck, I already have a gaming laptop, so I don't really see a reason to have a more powerful and larger machine, I was thinking I could just tuck my indies and emulated games on the SD and use my laptop for games that don't play so well on the SD. Do y'all think it's a good plan? Or is the Legion Go still worth it despite that?
Here in Mexico there are currently some options to get the standard LCD model for $450 (lower I have seen it is $420) as the OLED is starting to appear but at almost double the price ($815). Would you think it is a good idea to get a normal model right now?
Thank you for this vídeo, i Just know this Channel is going to be huge subscribed
I'm a bit confused. You mentioned BG3 several times and how you enjoy it on the steam deck but in the end you say don't get the steam deck if you want to play BG3. Which is it? I'd love to find a handheld to play BG3 specifically on but all of them (steam deck, ally, legion) seem not ideal. Would love your feedback please!
@CyberDopamine
Ай бұрын
I’d say the legion go is your best bet for BG3, you’ll get that good graphical fidelity as well as the trackpad. But I apologize. Baldurs gate on steamdeck is extremely enjoyable. If you don’t always play at home, the steamdeck because of the sleep function, you won’t need to leave the game and get back in. So if that way
it might be worth showing what settings you play your favourite games on, just to show off smoothness/quality settings you prefer
Just remain consistent bro. Dont stop. The improvement will come along with the consistency. Keep vibing bro.

Great point about the type of games determining the device you should go with! That is something I haven't really heard, as simple of a statement as it is. My LeGo is my first handheld, but I like RPG games better than shooters and don't care about the highest settings. The SD may have been a better choice for me. Playnite is my fav launcher so far, and really helps it to feel like a console. My biggest pain point for the LeGo is lack of quick resume, so making time for gaming has to be more intentional. To be fair. Thats why start menú and links are since win95. You can create a folder on start menu with links to your games. With Windows 8.1 start menu was handheld menu. BTW I am a Linux fanboy but to be fair you can launch any programs with two taps on Windows as well or even 1 tap if you put the link in the Desktop.
If i can have any of the handheld devices What should i get really I may play cod sometimes but not too much I want to play campaign games mostly in the handhelds and party games So should i take the steam I like how it is configured and how it is plug and play and i feel i want to try this But having double the frame rates on the legion go is making me so confused in choosing one of them Damn i want to chose 😞💙

Hey!! I think you did really really great!! And you been a big help. Be confident! Also I have a question I would like to ask. I have got any handheld console yet. I’m more into mmorpg and also some retro games andddddd I need the battery life. So I figured steam deck is the best for me. But… I’m really worried that the games I wanna play, steam deck can provide or cannot play it. How do I or where do I look it up and research the games that I wanna play are steam deck supported.
Ive been wanting to get a Steamdeck lately and Ive been watching a lot of videos reviews and the like. Most talked a lot how the OLED has this and that and is a bang for your buck which not gonna lie, I don't really care about the tecxplanation. What I want to know is the performance and how is it as a gamer. Your perspective on a "casual gamer with a Steamdeck" tremendously helps imo and your conclusion is spot on. While I don't care about graphics on Ultra, I do care a lot about view distance and graphics in High settings so thanks, I might get an Ally instead.
