I recently got a steam deck, and I love your videos on Steam. Keep up the good work.

I would very much like to see this project reach new heights. I would like to see it transform into a Decky plugin that could perform the following tasks: Search, download, install, and uninstall various launchers. Run installed launchers quickly directly from the plugin (without the need to create shortcuts in the gamemode to "start launcher"). Automatically or semi-automatically find games installed via launchers and create shortcuts in the gamemode (preferably with applied artwork). Additionally, it could create automatic backups of game saves. I believe all of this is possible to achieve with the support of the community.

Fala pessoal, Baixei o ea app pelo nonlauncher games, para jogar o fifa 22, porém o aplicativo fica com uma tela azul eternamente e nada carrega Reinstalei pelo lutris e ele abre normalmente, mas quando inicio o jogo ele fica só na tela de configuração e o botão de jogar e não inicia nunca Tentei corrigir pelo Proton tricks Só que o protontricks não reconhece ele, só reconhece o launchrr da epic Alguém já passou por isso? Já tentei pelo Proton experimental e o 8.1

Thanks. I wonder if individual games from those launcher can be added to the steam library as well or do we need to add those exe file manually from the install folder?

You can, but I don't recommend using this tool to get your launchers set up. I have videos showing how to do it with various launchers (Battle.net, GOG both available). The process is the same across the board.

I don't like this method. It is clunky and has issues - plus, as a user, you don't learn anything. When things blow up (and they will) you don't have any knowledge on how to fix them.

@@Darkuni i agree. i tried the script when i had my LCD steamdeck and it was difficult to uninstall. i like installing them as standalone.

I always used the same prefix with all stores. Many games require activation on another store to run, and the launcher needs to be in the same prefix.

All a matter of preference. I like things segregated. Others prefer to save the space.

the launchers are not showing up in my steam library. Idk what to do since i tried to install it for 20 times now deleting and installing again and again

I'm not this tool's biggest fan. I would recommend installing them individually using my tutorials.

What do you recommend...this or heroic?i cant fix screen size or button mapping for gog games on hgl.but can nsl do bith of these for most or all of these launchers?

I really don't use either. I install my third party lockers as non-steam games manually. Only way it gets done the way I want it done.

I am trying to insall for example epic games, it's closing before finish and open the steam. I couldnt install any apps from launchers. do you know why? many thanks!

I would use my other installer videos. I don't cover Epic here, but if you check the EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar, etc videos - they can put you on the path. You will want to watch my centralized storage video to better distribute your installs.

Would you rather recommend heroic then? Does that tool work bette? I am new to the SD and used non steam launcher and that worked finde but now I know what happens in the back. Thank you for that.

God no. I recommend using my Non-Steam installation methods. You'll learn something and it will be "standardized" so my other tutorials will be useful to you :D

i just tried to do this on my steamdeck oled,non steam launcher just opens and closes without executing.Does anyone have a solution.Im about to break this thing

I don't even bother anymore ... I just install the lockers myself. This script seems great but it ends up being more of a chore later.

Great question, right? I honestly don't know. I really don't recommend the script anymore. Kinda never did. I'm not a fan of the way it works.

Just delete the script you downloaded. There may be a tiny config file sitting around somewhere, but neither is large. In fact, I'd call it .. negligible. Just make sure you reverse everything - because you won't know if you "got it all" if you try to uninstall what it installed once it is gone.

Dont get any App to Install .. the Script does stuff, restarts Steam but nothings there.. compatdata doesnt get folders... tried the ones u did aswell even though im here for epic...

I don't like either of those. This is why you see ZERO video coverage of them. Heroic has cloud sync issues and Lutris is complicated for new users - especially when it goes wrong. Bottom line is - using those tools, you don't learn anything about how things work and you will have no knowledge of how to fix it when something goes wrong. YMMV.

my worry is,this method make my gaming experience are bad, for example make my steamdeck running bad performance or take a lot of my storage, so far using this method for playing ac mirage and death stranding running good, but who knows in the back?😅
