Thanks for this. Plex hptc only seems to use mouse on Steam deck for me. How did you get all buttons working, etc? Edit: sorry, commented before vid finished.

I did this and couldn't even open plex in the end. Also don't see how you have your profiles set up there. I never set one up.

Exactly what I needed to know. The controller templates seem to be a bit hit or miss though. I tried a few and they still seem to either be overly complicated with setting audio delays etc, then having a simple B to quit not work :P Need to do a little more exploration of that list. The one you point out in your vid (which is the simple functionality I need) doesn't seem to be in the list anymore.

This is due for a 2024 refresh for sure.

Any idea on how to keep the deck from dimming/going into sleep mode without disabling auto dim/sleep? Like turning off auto dim/sleep when Plex is running without any user input?

When I try to add to steam it doesn't work the link doesn't appear in steam. It seems to wan me to browse for it, but I don't know what to browse to? Any one have any idea? How to build the link if add to steam doesn't work? The app itself works if I launch it in desktop mode from the apps menu, but I cannot get it to link into the steam app.

Hey thanks for this tutorial. I used it last week and everything was perfect. Then today, the controller no longer worked. I went into custom layouts and noticed that the ledow layout is no longer there. Anyone heard anything about what happened?

Can u setup a plex server. I travel and my hotel sucks sometimes. Yes I know vlc but I like plex art and layout.

You want to run the server on your deck? Why not run the server at home and connect through your deck?

Can you install a Plex server on SD?

Any tips on plexamp ? It good in desktop mode but terrible in game mode. Plex is awesome in game mode but I will try the htpc version. It seems more fun!!

@@HONSUMSIU well, yes and no. The deck doesn't like to stay awake by itself. Some people who watch long-form media have problems with it in a remote situation. You also probably won't be able to wake it up or turn it on remotely and that pisses people off too lol

My Plex just buffers forevery and won't play.

Controls doesn't work at all for me, and i'm unable to untick that discover shite as well.

@@Duckers_McQuack I'd have to rewatch the video, but there IS a community controller settings you need to apply. I just checked again and all is working as it should be. Both in Gaming Mode and Desktop Mode.
