This happened to me yesterday along with a failed dox attempt. Guy was like “you have 3 minutes to confirm trade contents” because he started getting mad that I turned my stream into a tutorial on what not to do if your being hacked.

Im surprised steam didnt warn me it wasnt a safe site. You made me feel a bit relieved. This is what I did as soon as I saw I couldn't connect to the account anymore. What if I have no Steam emails about transaction history and I only use Steam wallet giftcards other than paypal? I may still have the giftcards with their codes, but I redeemed them around 2018-19. I know my original email + password + mobile phone # for my account. I am having panic attacks about my Steam Account being gone forever and it has more than $100 worth of games on there.

my account A that has been hijacked uses my main email. but after the hacking incident i quickly, without realizing made a new account B with my main email without a second thought due to sheer panic. as much as im worried with the games ive spend on, im more worried about my credit card info either its going to be abused or not. now theres no way of telling steam that my hacked account belongs to me andim just fed up. should i just make another account or is there any ways to recover it

Thank you sooo much. The steam staff team responded whiten 5 hours and I showed them my receipt to the game I bought and some other photos. They said I didn’t give enough information but they said they have enough information and that my account was compromised so they gave me the password and they changed my steam email to the email I contacted them with and I got my account back

When I get to the 'Change my Password' area I don't have the same options as you do. I only have 'Enter your email address or phone number' , which I obviously don't remember since I was like 12 years old when I created that steam account. So the only thing I've got is my account name lol. I doubt that I can do anything about it, but is there still a way for me to somehow get the account back?

Use support tell them your first email address and user name used for the account they will send you recovery mail in 12 hours. I recovered multiple accounts by this method.

I just dont know how my account could have been hacked so easily. I had Steam Guard active, but was somehow logged off the App without it asking me even once. My Email could also not have been hacked because I have two factor authenticator active there aswell. Thats so damn weird to me.
