Unbelievable how long people take to start up the car and drive off! It's like they are prepping the space shuttle for launch. Only other thing like that that gets my goat is being in a supermarket queue and after five minutes waiting the woman in front suddenly realises that she is going to have to pay. Yes love, it's never free! Then rummage about in the big bag for the handbag, then rummage in the handbag for the purse then rummage in the purse for the cards and the coupons and the loyalty card.

I sleep out in my van a lot.I find sleeping near graveyards calming.Quiet neighbours.Before sleeping I walk around the gravestones talk to the folk there saying their names out loud especially the very old ones whose names have not been spoken for centuries

We stayed in a lovely pub there once and the church bell rang every quart hour

Don't worry about it there are people to your right who have been sleeping there for over a hundred years and they where not moved on ,and used to drink in the pub you just came from! 😉

Ha ha love your stuff I gotta Peugeot boxer now and stand out large, don't worry about people and the snotty ways, I'm 56 and started like you now everything on board insulation splash room, etc everything except a washing machine, a ridge monkey is essential if you get a little gas cooker to start , I have a tank underneath as have autogas from fuel stations , and get truma I heating

True love between you & your wife, clearly not a gold digger (with all due respect!). New sub earned from me, thanks for sharing.

I miss UK, hope me and my girl can travel there this year! I love your cozy pubs and the lokal peoples mentality. All englishmen ive met have been very friendly towards me but whenever i met a stubborn dude i just threw up my snuffbox and made little pearl of snuff and the dude starts asking , what is that ? And the conversation was on. Btw i dont have a driving licens yet but im planning to buy a van so that me and my girl can travel around and dont pay for a single hotel night, my girl have a licens and we own a Volvo v70 and we slept in that on parkinglots 3 nights last summer , we saved a ton of money by doing that but it was not much space in that car.

Only discovered you both recently so binge watching and loving your adventures. Up until a year ago we loved trips to Castleton and Padley Gorge but due to illness unfortunately not possible, hopefully will be able to do it again. James is like Yorkshire version of Karl Pilkington, so laid back & funny & love Helen, what an amazing couple. Watching you both is helping me through the dark days & crappy treatment, best therapy ever 😄

Great video 👍 I felt your pain waiting for that parking spot. I’m sure they were faffing on purpose knowing you were waiting. There’s always someone pratting about like that at the petrol station when there’s a queue for the pump, checking everything in their car before putting their seatbelt on 😡😂

If you go to Castleton again I can highly recommend The George for a meal. Excellent food and you get a lot for your money. It's been 10/10 every time I've been and all 6 pubs serve excellent ale

Great video and in my village too!!! Small world. The George is the best pub by far. You're better off parking on the old Mam Tor Road just outside the village tbh. I was palying bingo that night I can see the back of my head. Seriois money involved there

Just seen your video. It is a pity you have to do that , as the cost of living is getting very expensive. I think you could be doing the wrong choice.Yiu need an address for your driving license and bank details. I see you have a business address. So that sounds good. Give them that, but don't tell them it's a business address. I was in the same situation as you. I am in my 70 seventies moved to the Philippines in my 60 sixties. I am in a lot better situation now. But you are young so I hope you make it. I will look at your video's and also the advertising. Good luck mate. Make good videos so to keep viewers interested. Like your every day life. Be Very CAREFUL SLEEPING in any Vehicle IF YOU Have HAD a DRINK ! You Can Get a Driving BAN If You have the keys in Your Possession. Intent to Drive, If the Police ask you to MOVE on in the Middle of the Night etc. ASK PERMISSION to Park / Camp in the Pub Carpark, or Pay a Small Fee, Tip the Manager a Few Beers / a Tenner ETC. & Leave the Keys IN the Pub Overnight. = Zero Intent to Drive. = No Driving Ban. They can Breathalise you & Ban You for Intent to Drive / Or Responsible for a Vehicle, Just for Having Car Keys in Your Possession/ Close to your Vehicle If Over the DD Limit. Booked on a Campsite , or At Home is obviously Different in Law. when Sleeping in a Vehicle after a few Drinks YOU MUST HIDE or LOOSE your Ignition Key or Leave it FAR AWAY from Your Vehicle. Usually the Pub Till or Pub Safe etc. Or Away in the Bushes Keys = Possible Intent to Drive. NO Keys, = Zero Intent to Drive + Back up from the Pub Manager that you Intend to stay ALL NIGHT. Due to a Small Payment/ Couple of Pints etc. Being DRUNK / Over the Limit Close to your Vehicle will get you a DD Ban the same as Being Pissed & Crashing into a wall or Tree etc. If you Have your Ignition Key in or near the vehicle. If There was a Flood or Fire or Similar Unknown Emergency & the BLUE Light Crew Asked You to Move your Vehicle to Clear a space or to Safety & You were Pissed , Then you are SCREWED for DD. OBVIOUSLY in your own Home this does not Apply. or if you Walk or Taxi to the Village Pub. You Have to PROOVE ZERO Intent to drive after a Drink.

Yes, I have researched this a lot and now if we are having a drink we can easily prove no intent to drive. No keys, in pj's, in bed, and in an overnight car park with overnight ticket.
