stealth camping trip using my ENGWE X26 ebike - oex phoxx 2 tent.
I went stealth camping and the canal was closed AGAIN !! so after 30 minutes of ebiking round i found my way to the canal.
After enjoying about 15 miles ebiking along the canal I soon realised that there was no place to stealth camp.
so off on my ebike I went again to find somewhere else to stealth camp.
I found great spot to camp as you will see within my youtube video.

If you can Dan, try mounting your tent to the bottom of the rucksack. It can then rest on the back seat and take much of the weight of the rucksack off your shoulders. 💕
Most of my wild camping is completed using an ebike. It opens up so many options for me.
Does my head in when a videos been on a few minutes and the comments say brilliant video dan really enjoyed it🤔😆👍

Back in the day, the penny farthing was a nick name for that type of bicycle. The proper name for that type of bicycle was the high wheel. Or; the ordinary bicycle.
Great video Dan. Loved seeing your adventure.
Another great video. Really enjoted it! You picked a perfect spot to camp. Your tent and camo net blended in quite well. And your camera work is really getting good! 👍 👍👍
Really enjoyed the bike camp Dan, hope you do some more bike camping in the future & keep up these great adventures Dan your doing an amazing job 👍💪

I use my mate T14 E bike when I go camping though E bikes are good for camping thanks Dan for a great stealth camp.
Did my first bike camp Saturday. Pretty much need to change complete set up. It’s gonna be good to see how another newbie does things . Great video Dan can’t wait to see your set up . Ps get rid of the e-bike go pedal power 👍🏽
Dan , the burley travoy folding trailer is an excellent trailer for you e-bikes , just plonk your rucksack on it and off you go , very easy to swap between bikes too , had mine four years and use it for camping , shopping and moving all sorts , folds up small into its own bag and tracks behind the bike excellently.
That looks like fun. Carry on partner.
Loved your video updates today. That bike ride was awesome, but long. I bet your bum hurts. Love seeing you out and about

Another great one Dan!
I just love the north, reminds me so much of A Kestrel for a Knave.
Loved the Penny Farthing 🚲 Great Scenery Dan, 🌳 nice food, too. ⛺️ Did you manage to find your way 🏡 home again???😮 Love the Ebike. I'm going to treat myself to one in July for my Transplant Anniversary ❤❤❤
Great video buddy ideal tent for stealth camping... I was just about to say about camo netting and then I see you've already got one I have a few of them different sizes from covering tents to tarps to vehicle. They are great aren't they.
The old bike is a Penny Farthing Dan enjoying the video
Get some good pannier bags Dan, the ones I have you would get all the gear out back pack in them, then you can get some bar bags and fork bags. Lots of options to carry your gear on the bike.
Nice bike mate. That was a penny farthing that rode past 😳😊

Love this... I do it a little lighter than you. Normal pedal bike will travel anything upto 30miles with a bivvy, light sleeping bag or down clothes grab some steak and a few drinks along the way and see where I end up.. got to love the outdoors... And if got dog with me a light 2 man tent and bivvy , tent for dog as he's huge and then only into the local area 7 miles radius in whichever direction. 😂😂 Loving your vids.
That spot was perfect for a stealth camp .🙂

More camping using an ebike. please as I am plucking up the courage at the age of 68 I shall be towing a bike trailer to be comfortable as i need a cpap machine
Well done, Dan.
Great video! A futuristic electric bicycle passing an old penny farthing bike. It's like Back to the future! Lol. Have you thought about getting a bike trailer to pull your tent? Maybe the backpack took you over the bikes weight limit?
Great video dan I've got a ebike made such a difference to camping ,I get all my kit in my saddle bags,no more lugging a big backpack, some people use trailers to so you can take all your favorite heavier kit, there also exellent for searching for new places to camp,ps buying another battery gives you double the mileage, take care

I need to stealth camp pretty soon as I’m waiting for warmer weather as I’m homeless but I have a storage unit to place my things. I’m 55 year old female bought me a 2 backpacking person tent and sleeping pad and cook set. The thing is trying to hide a white bright e-bike and trailer.

Oh YES! thats the perfect pastime, I subscribed to SIMOM B, he shows you how to start 'green laning' in the country side, you are spoiled for choice for riding and stealth camping. That Ebike can handle the lumpy stuff no problem 👍👍🥰

Coast n ride...thats what you need, when the ground is so flat like that, get yourself up to as fast as possible with the gears, then coast, and top it up with pas 1 every few minutes or so. might get you another 5 miles or so, maybe 10 without the weight.
Dan I think the noise is deadend at you camp because of the fear trees? Great camping spot, that's what you call stealthy 😊 Cheers Dan, we enjoyed your vid also. Hope the arse is better soon?😮

Hi Dan I have the very same bike you have fantastic for camping with one thing no good idea to ride it one-handed
And you could go a BIT SLOWER chap extends the range a lot . Nice place after all .
Very interesting how well those bikes work ,and the distances,
If you want to do more canal camping get a nicholsons canal map for the canal you want to use, they are full of info, you can see where each lock is in retaliation to the towns etc

Down near my neck of the woods there in Wakefield 👌🏼
The penny-farthing, also known as a high wheel, high wheeler or ordinary, is an early type of bicycle.[1] It was popular in the 1870s and 1880s. The large wheel provided better shock absorbion.
Thanks!

My folding FIIDO L3 does 45 actual miles pulling a loaded trailer but it has a 23AH battery , FIIDO claimed about 90 but that must be with a dwarf at see level in warm weather , manufacturers claimed mileage should always be taken with a pinch of salt .
Need that 2nd battery!
My legs are the only batteries that power any of my none battery powered, pebble assisted bikes. And; I don't have to worry about my bike running out of power.

Great video man. Just wanted to drop a comment and say thanks for all the content you put out. Not done camping in 20 years since I was a teenager and since watching your videos, I've bought an OEX Jackle 2 (got it all on sale on Amazon for £110), all the other stuff and have been out motorbike camping 2 times so far. Being from Northern Ireland, its hard to wild camp so plan on hitting as many campsites as I can this summer and when they all close for winter, I'll be forced to wildcamp, lol Keep doing what you're doing and thanks for being an inspiration. You're right when you say "Just get out and get it done, just do it". Next camp for me t-minus 8 days. Peace out bro!

E bikes are ok. But with the limit to the range and weight I don’t think I’ll purchase one. I have a perfectly good pedal power bike already.

Penny farthing! bud, that looked like a new one !!!!🤷♂️
This opens up a whole new world for your camping videos. The place you (finally) selected is about the best you have ever found! It would be good if you checked out your route more ahead of time. But I really enjoyed the canal side scenery. As to bicycle butt pain: I always had it from the way the seats are shaped and sprung or not. It takes a good bit of riding to toughen up that tender area.

Penny farthen, then a bike with 2 wheels the seam size was called a safety bike, as the Penny had a tendency to make the rider face plant the road. I'm sure that's right?
