I love the sounds of the forest at night. Except when a wild pony sticks it head in the tent looking for snacks.

Oh, nostalgia... I used to play as a kid in a fir tree. I made small bench inside and a table. This was a good hiding place.😊

I like that you hear wildlife. It feels real and not staged.

I love how Excited you get about setting up your nest 😂😂 you go lass .

Ah what a lovely little camp!! Loved the face paint 😂 great idea to use the hammock on the ground to keep the bugs off! Loving the stealthy bright yellow sleepmat 😂 looked so cozy under that tree though, brilliant! Xx

Fabulous I need to get back out there , yep love the idea of using the hammock on the ground...I gotta get back out there 👍

I'll contribute this again for dealing with Bugs.. My Mother taught me this long before we had Deet.. It is a Peppermint Spray since BUGS HATE PEPPERMINT. I carry it in a small plastic spray bottle on all my trips... It works for me and American Bugs hate it.. Buy a bottle of Distilled Water. I buy a quart. Empty some out say about a quarter. Using Cheap Vodka pour in enough to almost fill it. Add PURE NATURAL PEPPERMINT OIL, I use 20 drops.. Shake it up.. The Vodka breaks tension between the water and the oil forcing it to mix... Pour it into your Spray Bottle... Added Benefit! Spiders run from it.. So I spray my Garage and around the Baseboards of my house... No Spiders and rarely any Ants....

Hi. Love your videos. This reminded me of a hitch hiking trip I did in the 70s and we “discovered” these were perfect places to be out of sight. We had a bivy and when it rained the trees kept off most of the rain. One night we even stayed in a US Forces base in Germany in a line of fir trees!!

Sometimes trees also can act as umbrellas.

Thumbs up for actually calling the ground by it's proper name and not the floor like many English folk.

I really hoped the WildBeare lady would sleep well this time. Six hours doesn't seem much of a beauty sleep, but we were pleasantly surprised. Jealous that you have outdoors without mosquitoes.

Took me back to when we were kids playing under the trees. So fun

What a lovely place to sleep, under the boughs of a low slung tree. Great idea. Heart warming seeing someone enjoying what has always meant so much to me. The light weight gear worked well. Great video.

As a kid in the 1970’s we used to play in the local park, make dens and hide from the park keeper who used to try and throw us out. One of my best hiding places was inside a fir tree. We would sit and watch the keeper stomping past back and forth in frustration looking for us. [he knew we were in the park but could never find us]

What a sweet camp under a tree. I love your ideas for these camps, making them just different enough to stand out from everyone else. There's always a little quirk and that makes watching even more enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next ❤️

@@WildBeare At this point I am hoping autumn comes quickly. We tend to get 30 days each summer where we are at 38 to 43C. Our winters we are rarely below 0C. For me it is now a stay indoors and work with the college students as summer classes began this week and print 3D items. As well as spend plenty of time with my fur boys.

That barking at 3:40 or so was a fox. They make some crazy noises!

What a cool camp! There was a tree similar to that near my house when I was a kid. It offered decent protection against the rain, at least short term. I never spent the night under it but wish I had. Thanks for the video, it made my day!

Great little nook. Nice.

Always a measure of efficiency and practicality. Well done! Camping in close amongst the pines and spruces is always a great choice as the ground is usually flat and almost always plant free. The exception is when roots are exposed. The thick needle covering is great for concealment and goes far towards keeping camp dry in the rain. Thank you for sharing!

Really appreciate your videos, all of your adventures. We have giant fir trees here in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia though I've never slept under one , great idea. I was wondering about your wildlife, we always need to be aware of cougars, coyotes, black bear, grizzly bear and moose when out in the wilderness. A herd of elk roam the golf course up the road and even deer can be a little aggressive towards my small dog. But it is beautiful here and I've hiked way up the mountains and along every trail I can find. Would love to roam wherever you are, looks wonderful.

The loud barking noise almost sounded like deer when they snort to get a better smell. I'm not sure if they have those there. But the American whitetail makes a similar noise

Great camp again we have muntjac noisy blighters come into our garden it's amazing something that small can make such a noise.

if i lived somewhere, where i had access to this type of natural beauty i would be content in life
