I think he changed it because a lot of lets players were confused about how being invisible makes you blind. That is kind of a higher-concept physics joke because you have to recognize that vision only happens because the back of your eyes absorb light. if all the light passes through you, then you can't see anything. But most media that uses invisibility as a a superpower ignores this. This is an easier-to-understand fail.
