I’d be pretty pissed if someone was joyriding in my tractor . It looks like the back actor bucket ram was taken away for repair . Now they’ve been dicking about with it , I’ve no doubt there will be bolts and pins lost for putting the ram back on . Pot kettle black springs to mind

My fascination with the Chernobyl exclusion zone is from how it is like a post apocalyptic world that exists right now, full of buildings to explore, potential danger behind every corner, tribes of other people roaming the land, it’s like a Hollywood blockbuster, but it’s real life

Someone has cared for that tractor, and spent money on it with recent repairs, and the battery is charged. Recommend you put it back where you found it. Leave fuel in the tank as a thank you for borrowing it.

The zone is like your favourite apocalypse fiction of choice, damn near everything has been stolen or broken so a functional tractor is genuinely an amazing and exciting thing :)

The fuel tank on the front is for if you have to go up an incline and don’t wanna lose fuel to the engine. They do it with older drag cars because they’re not fuel injected.

The engine has a fuel pump, the front tank might be extra oil for the backhoe.

Some of those reservoirs may be for hydraulic oil for the bucket--and diesel engines don't have spark plugs.

There's still glow plugs in the cylinder head or a heater plug in the intake in these depending on the engine variant :)

Stop speculating the 2 tanks, One is diesel for engine other one if to hold hydraulic oil to operate the ram's for control over the bucket etc

The tractor is parked because they are fixing the rear bucket. The hydraulic cylinder for the bucket was taken off. That's why the hoses were hanging in the back.

Someone owned that tractor, no way it has battery left

Looks like the ram mount for the backhoe attatchement got broken previously. Those two loose hoses on the back bucket would be going to a hydraulic ram that moves the bucket. Likely someone had removed the ram to take it in for repair... Won't they be surprised when they see the tractor is missing? 🤪

Hydraulic fluid and diesel oil aren't supposed to be black they supposed to look like clean oil but with a diesel the oil turns black fairly fast after it runs

I suspect this video doesn't tell the full story. Walking up to an 'abandoned' tractor and the battery has enough juice not only to simply start it but survive repeated cranks of the engine seems highly suspicious. Not to mention the new hydraulic hoses. Either this has been staged or the tractor has been used very recently and more than likely belongs to somebody.

Should fix tractor and give it to old Babushkas living in Chernobyl.

The second tank is for hydraulic fluid to lift the bucket and stuff, not necessary to drive it. You could run this on diesel or kerosene or jet fuel. Siphon some from one of the old tanks maybe.Thanks for the videos, cheers!

Looks like the hydraulics for the bucket failed and sprayed fluid all over the rear .

There appears to be a big garage door on the building at the end of the video at 19:12. Maybe open it and hide the tractor in there? It looks like there might be a little tree and some debris in the way but the tractor should plow through it just fine.
