Dear @@robojax, I have installed the device as a humidity controller and I'm having some problems. Maybe you can point me to possible causes. It has been 6 days since it's running. It fires at 75% RH and turns off when reaching 90% RH. Yesterday, I woke up seeing the RH at 106%,. The ligth on the STC-3028 was off and yet, the humidificator attached to it was still on. It seems the relay did not stop the electricity! When I vent the sensor off and I make it reach 75%, it starts again, and reaching 90% it stops and no, it works.. But every once in a while, it fails again... Any thought on what could it be? Factory defect? I'm connected to a 230W socket (this is now Spains voltage) and I wonder if that might be the problem. .

Love the fact that this is in English, as most for this are not and that you're Canadian, as am I and you did a great job explaining this device. So you earned a like and sub from me. But I wish you had showed all of your wiring for every demonstration. That's the most confusing part of this thing for me, not so much the functions, but that's also highly useful and helps me learn the device better. Other videos in other languages showed their wiring, so between theirs and yours it should be fairly straight forward, I think.

@@robojax O.k., fair enough. Maybe I missed something. It was late and I was getting tired when I watched it. So admittedly, I may not have been paying good enough attention. I did see you go over wiring, yes, on one device (the lightbulb I believe). But the others, you just showed already hooked up and then proceeded to explain how the functions relate to that device you hooked up. What I meant was, I would have liked to see how every device was wired to the unit, as there are multiple ways to wire and configure this thing. Like the option of powering them all off the same power supply vs. each thing having it's own supply, like the wiring diagram shows can be done. And you did explain that every other device you hook up to it, works similar to how the lightbulb is wired, but I am so green when it comes to electrical and this stuff, I need detailed demonstrations of everything. Yours is still the best video I've seen on functions of it and how to approach wiring it, it was very logical and one of the only few videos in English about it.

Thank you for a thorough tutorial on an STC-3028. I just bought an STC-3028 from AliExpress under US $7 + Free S/H to US. If you don't mind, I do have a question in wiring this item. In this case, I am using a polarized extension cord to wire my STC-3028. The question I have is whether it is OK to use the (-) line as a pass through and the (+) line as the controlled line to connect to the S1 (temperature) and S2 (humidity) port.

Hi thank you very much for an excellent video. My stc 3028 works perfectly. only problem I have which is a significant one, is on the RH setting when it reaches 100% it deactivates the RH relay . I can't find or change any settings to prevent this . the controller works absolutely fine on temperature and Rh but if it reaches 100% humidity the controller clicks off the Rh relay . This pretty annoying and I'm unable to solve this. any help would be appreciated. Also there's a setting range not shown in your video for p0 P1 P2 and P3 which are alarm limits and time delays but these do not affect the maximum RH value from cutting off the relay thanks again. Peter

Hi, you made me watch the video and in the fist 15 seconds I mentioned that “you can use it as heater OR cooler controller “ so I mentioned OR and perhaps 20 or more times. Now the relay is inside it. You just need yo make two wires from your heater or cooler to connect.please watch again as I can assure you that you should not have may questions after carefully watching it.

Maybe it's because of a false signal induced by the wire of the power supply. When that wire is too close to the wires of the sensor, it may induce a low current through the sensor's wire. Since electronics function with little power, that could be the problem. Prolly a bit late to the party 😂🎉

Can this turn on refrigeration when temp is above 4C but off at 1.5C but if it goes below 1 it turns on the heater until it again is above 1C. The idea is to stop freezing.

I believe I have demonstrated and also explained the maximum and minimum temperature. Your refrigerator is a load. Just calculate how much power or current it consumes so this relay can handle it.

By chance, do you know of any device that combines temperature control and buck regulator? I'd like to vary an output voltage according to temperature, so I can drive a Peltier module in a smooth way that is more power efficient, rather than switching it abruptly on and off.

Can this thing run a fridge? I see it's rated for 10A, but I know refrigerator compressors can take several times their rated current for 0.2-0.5 seconds at startup. Will, say, 12-15A for less than half a second be a problem? If so, could the relays simply be upgraded inside? What is the mode of failure when momentarily overcurrent like this?

I am not sure bout the handling higher current for few seconds. check with the manufacturer of relay. or yes. upgrade it.

Hello, I am already using the STC 1000 for an incubator. This has a temperature return difference F2 of at least 0.3 C°. This is not exactly ideal for a constant brood temperature. With a brood temperature of e.g. 37.5 C° you have a tolerance of at most 0.2 C° upwards or downwards. How much is the temperature return difference for this model STC 3000 or STC 3028? THANK YOU VERY MUCH

@@robojax The links do not work. You surely mean 3028 and not 3208? If the STC 3028 has a switch-on differential of 1C°, then that is a lot. After all, my STC 1000 has a switch-on difference of 0.3C°. The STC 3000 also has a temperature difference value of 0.3C° at the F2 setting.
