The Pyramid in Memphis was originally built as a basketball / concert venue. They didn't understand how bad the acoustics would be. They tried adding buffers along the walls, they helped but it was still not good. With saying all that, I still attended several concerts there, on the floor the sound wasn't bad (it wasn't that good either) but if you were in the risers or the nosebleeds the sound was horrible. They later built FedExForum and the pyramid was sold to Bass Pro Shop. You need to do some food reviews in Jackson, TN... best fish taco's I've ever eaten Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill and Tako Borukas for different reasons.. at Tulum's it's the sauce that make the taco so awesome. At Borukas it's the whole taco with the fish and Baja vegetables. If Borukas could get Tulum's sauce they would be the best fish taco in the world. The most authentic taco's you need to go to El Mezcal Grocery Store and restaurante, I think I have eaten ever taco they have from my favorite tripa taco to the el pastor most authentic since I lived in Phoenix. Suggestions for Soul food buffets, Casey Jones Restaurant and Brookie's Barn. Check these out, I think you will be surprised.

That pyramid used to be a multi-purpose sports arena. Known as the tomb of doom, it was home to the University of Memphis basketball teams, the NBA's Memphis Grizzley's, and the Memphis Pharaoh's in arena football. The Pyramid also hosted an Undisputed World Boxing Title Fight in 2002, in which Lennox Lewis defeated Mike Tyson by KO in the 8th round to retain his Undisputed World Boxing Championship. The Pyramid Arena has also hosted many concerts and other events. In 2009, Shelby County sold its shares in the Pyramid Arena to the city of Memphis. The city decided to repurpose the arena and leased it to Bass Pro Shops. In 2015, Bass Pro Shops opened one of its premiere locations inside of the Pyramid, which includes the retail store, a hotel, restaurants, and a bowling alley.

Been to the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield Missouri, I recommend seeing that one. The aquarium in it is the best I have ever been to!!! ❤

You guys should check out Earnestine & Hazel's in Memphis! Only food is a soul burger but the building itself has a very interesting history and a haunted jukebox, great place for a Beer Break!Lol, best part of my visit to Memphis! The bathroom review on this one alone would be epic! 😂

@BrennenTaylor , no problem! If you ever decide to go, just a heads up you might need to make a reservation for Zehnder's or Bavarian Inn restaurants. Bavarian Inn also has a little beer shop that you and Jake might like and my daughter said you should try the pasties at Pasty Haus at the River Place Shops if you ever go too. It's a German themed town that has a lot of Christmas things, so Christmas might be the best time to go, but we went last spring and it was still fun.
