Just to weigh in on the broom vs mop discussion: in Fantasia, they’re brooms, and the fact that they’re carrying water is just incidental to the fact that Sorcerer Mickey enchanted the closest inanimate object (a broom) to do his chores for him. However, in the Nicholas Cage live action remake they’re mops, which I’m assuming was because in a photorealistic setting a mop was easier to animate with the same quality of movement that we saw from the brooms in Fantasia 🧹

My sister and I went to Goofy's Kitchen, as 2 adults alone, thinking it was just the Disneyland hotel regular breakfast spot, having no idea it was a character breakfast. It is perfect if that is what you were looking for, but we were not expecting it at all. We were very overwhelmed by the constant noise and characters coming up to talk to us while we were trying to eat. But we were crying laughing at ourselves by the end and it is now one of our favorite Disneyland memories.

I know that if you aren’t very comfortable or simply don’t the character’s to approach you, you can just tell one of the character attendants and you won’t have to worry.

WDW needs a hotel of this theme. The WDW hotel would definitely sell out. Lean into the nostalgia!

Given that I’ll likely never splurge on the DLR hotels, I’d really like videos of the other neighboring hotels. This was an awesome video though and I’ll live vicariously through you and other DLR videos.

My favorite thing about the Disneyland Hotel is that the coffee shop you can get Kahlua or Baileys in your iced coffee. Took a shower with a boozy coffee and had the best Disney day ever.

The Frontierland Tower was originally called the Bonita Tower - Named after Bonita Wrather, the wife of Jack Wrather who originally built and owned the Disneyland Hotel up until the late 1980’s. There use to be a massive waterfall and grotto in front of that tower.I worked there when it open, I think around 1979.

My parents spent their honeymoon there in 1964. From the time I was two, in 1968, until around 1974, we would go to Disneyland, stay at the Disneyland Hotel, and go to Knott’s Berry Farm the next day. That was our big trip for the summer. In the mid 80’s I worked at the Disneyland Hotel, which at that time was listed as UNOCO. We where Disney employees, and we had all of the benefits of Disney employees, but they had the freedom to move us around to different locations. I worked in merchandise locations in 3 different locations around the park, as well as covering in the park when needed.

Being on the west coast, I am loving all the Disneyland content. So glad you guys have more plans to come back. I would LOVE to see inside the grand Californian. It’s on my bucket list!

My wife and I love your videos. It's possible you got an accessibility room because your last stay was an accessibility room so they might think that's what you need. I always request it because my wife has cancer and uses an ECV to get around and accessibility rooms are larger to allow for EVC or wheelchair.

We went in 1967 and I still have my book of tickets. I remember using all my E tickets and dad had to buy more. I was only 12, I saved brochures and everything. Who knew I would love Disney but Disney World is my favorite, plus I live in Alabama so I am alot closer to Orlando I have been many times as an adult, with and without my child.

I love, love, love that you're doing Disneyland content! We've stayed at all 3 of the DL hotels and the DL hotel is our favorite! The only thing you said that I would disagree with is that Paradise Pier is closer. It really isn't, unless maybe you walk into the Grand and go into California Adventure through the hotel, but they don't make that super easy. Otherwise, you're going through the same security gates as the DL hotel and you have to walk up the street to get there. (Small detail, I know, but we didn't love Paradise Pier hotel, and I wouldn't want someone to think it's better than DL hotel, because it so isn't.)

I haven't stayed at Paradise Pier, but have the Grand Californian and Disneyland hotel and the Disneyland Hotel is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at

Molly and Alan could convince me to stay anywhere!!! I love how much fun you guys make the video and it’s so much more than just a tour, I love learning all fun other things you can do aside from just the parks. Definitely adding this hotel to my bucket list.

Disneyland Hotel is my absolute favorite Disney hotel ever anywhere. Fun fact- I cried when I walked into our room for the first time 🤣

Hey Molly! Yes there is a reference to Joe Rohde in Trader Sams. At 35:15 there are three tiki guys. The one in the middle is supposed to represent him and of course has a hoop on his right ear to match. They even put a little sign that says Joe on his right 😊 I was the barback the night you visited, but was trying not to fanboy too hard. It was great meeting you!!!

Same. The thing I really like about Disneyland is it seems like a much smaller scale more peaceful and not as crazy as Disney world. It just has more of an older world feel, and maybe it's like recapturing what Disney world used to be...

Disneyland is great. It has just as many awesome things to do as WDW and since it’s smaller, it does feel less overwhelming, but *not* less exciting. We have gone to WDW many times now, but my boyfriend and I are going to DL in November (he’s never been) and I can’t wait! Also, pirates (and a few other of the older rides) is better in DL :)

The answer is always Yes when asking if you need new ears. I would say those are mops because broomsticks have a triangle/straight bottom for the most part. And I’m all into scientific studies about closeness from a resort to the parks. Let’s keep having these studies…for science

They are brooms,because Sorcerer Mickey was sweeping when he started fooling around with Yesnids spell book and made it start to rain until the tower flooded and so he enchanted the brooms to help him bail out the water.

As a youtuber (up and coming) i appreciate all your hard work and traveling to bring us content so first of all thank you! We try to go to any disney park at least once a year with this year being 1 visit to DL/DCA and in August PARIS DISNEYLAND🎉🎉🎉 This has no relation to you guys we absolutely love yall but that trader sams place just breaks my heart for my culture. As a kanaka maoli (Native hawaiian) family and born and raised in Hawaiʻi we find so much cultural appropriation with Disney and we LOVE disney so its just heartbreaking. But places like that we just cant bring ourselves to visit and it sucks. Theres so much offensive nature that ive emailed disney about it like for instance the "Hawaiian" Plate that Allan ordered theres literally nothing Hawaiian about it. Maybe calling it a Hawaiʻi favorite or Hawaiʻi food or Hawaiʻi plate? Idk... but NOT hawaiian. I make sure that when I post recipe content i am very clear to what is a Hawaiʻi favorite or Hawaiʻi food vs HAWAIIAN FOOD. Hawaiian food is laulau, kālua pig, poi for instance. Anyways just wanted to share some manaʻo (knowledge). Again we Love love love your channel ohana Mam (Mam family)❤

Interesting that you had a “to go” experience at Tangaroa Terrace bc when we were there in August they served our food on platters. If I remember correctly, they gave us a number to put on our table so the server could find us. We were there for lunch though, maybe dinner is different.
