Wow 😍😍😍 I love at the very end when you spatter the white gouache and with the light and angle of the camera, the painting is still wet and the spatter looks like glitter 🤩🤩

Hi, I'm new to your channel and it was this painting that caught my eye. I love purple, its my favourite as well as pink. This is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous! I'm trying to get back into my art and watching you makes me want to have a go at something like this. Its really helpful to see your process, I'm still trying to find my own !! Pansy flowers are lovely and this is so lifelike, it looks like a photo. I will have to binge watch your tutorials, i ghink you're going to be a big help to me. What would you do to get your art mojo back? I was thinking of using photos of my own and off the internet as a good place to start practising. Do you think thats a good idea ? Do uou have any tips ? Hi Rae, thank you🌹☺️Glad you are going to paint. I would recommend to get familiar first with all your pigments. Do swatches. Try mixing some of the colors next to each other - blending. if you like purples and pinks, try mixing/blending these on a side. Play with the paint. Then start with sketching a flower petal first. Do one only. Then a full flower. This way you will get more attached to your painting and you will focus more on a reference photo, how to translate it into a painting. Take it slow, easy, don't rush, even if things don't work out the first time, it's ok, keep going. Everyone has moments where things get a bit out of control and not every painting is going to be a masterpiece. I recently have been telling this to one of my students to remind her that it's all about practice and to keep going even if things don't come out the way we wished for..🌸

@@mariamorjane thank you for your advice. I'm definitely going to do what you've advised me to do. I remember doing something similar, we used view finders and focused on a small part of our subject in my art class at school. That was a long long time ago !! Your advice also reminded me of all the work and sketches we had to do before producing our final piece of work in my art classes. I've been doing sketches of different things, mainly my parrot trying to get back to making art part of every day. Thank you Sonu🤗🌸and while you are taking a break, at first it may feel a bit different, distanced, because you lost touch with your brush, it's all there, and you will get back to your painting pretty quickly, just take your time and start with something very easy.. even swatches are good at the beginning 😍You won't have to start all over again, it's just a matter of getting used to your brush again and it will all come back to you, all the techniques you know and how to🌹☺️

@@mariamorjane I wasn't just saying it as a compliment.... It really did look that way.... There's way more detail in your pic than in the original itself.... Your ability to produce details that isn't even visible at the first glance never seizes to impress me....coz as far as I know watercolor is the most challenging medium in painting.
