STAY WITH JESUS | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (March 24, 2024)
Today is the Sunday of the Lord’s Passion, the beginning of the Holy Week, that culminates in the celebration of the Paschal Triduum..
After we commemorate Jesus’s triumphant entrance into Jerusalem in the opening liturgy, the gospel would then take us to Jesus’s last supper with his disciples; his agony, arrest, and trial; his carrying of the cross on which he would be nailed at Golgotha. Seeing all these events leading up to Jesus’s last breath, the centurion proclaimed: “Truly this man was the Son of God!”
Friends, when we look at the Crucified Jesus, what do we see?
Do we see one who is like us in suffering? Do we see one who is in need of our compassion? Do we see that he is the Son of God who entered our humanity so he could bring us to the fullness of life in God?
Let us behold him who took the blows and was crucified for us.

A meaningful lent for me after so many years. I truly am humbled and realize I am just an insignificant servant of the Lord, forgive my sins and allow me to start all over again, aware that I cannot do anything without the Lord. Amen

What shall I celebrate today? ShallI rejoice because I am cleansed or bathe by the bood of Jesus Christ

To give meaning to lent we should focus on the word of the Jesus that unless a grain falls to the ground and dies it cannot bear fruit and enjoy the fruit therof

During rhe celebration of lent christians should be able to harvest the fruit of the grain that fall to the ground on good Friday
Two weeks ago I lectured to my students in management the concepts of mission and vision. As we start the celebration of Holy Week my reflection focused on my own vision and mission with respect to my faith. My mission is “Imtatio Christi” or the practice of following the example of Jesus. And my vision is to enter into relationship with God as it grows into experience of Oneness of Divine Love not only in this life but beyond as well. This leads me to reflect on my faith response in prayers. I ask God for forgiveness in trivializing my prayers. For most of us prayer had become a transactional problem solving conversation, telling God our problems and expecting Him to provide solutions to our everyday difficulties. That which is not consistent with what Jesus said “take up your cross and follow me.”Forgive me Lord for considering you as an assistant to my will instead of using my imagination and intellect to drive my will towards a better knowledge of You.
Praise be Jesus Christ now ans forever.Amen...

The word was God.Making the word a mystery is sin against the holy spirit that ,as worker in the vineyard,I will say cannot be forgiven..But I am only a worker in the vineyard.I could be the elder son who never went.

@@antoniocanoy2642 Why the embarrassed face? I hope you have a clear and truthful message from the interpretation of the three hearts. In God this represents the greatest gift of God, which is Love "through, with, in Him" and from Him. It is the Highest form of Love which exists both here on earth and in Heaven. Jesus was crucified for Love. I too have been crucified for Love, mainly because God's people don't seem to understand what the meaning of Love actually is. The latter is real Love which comes from a real God means, agreed? I don't mean the personal crucifixion by the righteous themselves to carry out excruciating well timed, one after the other activities of strangulation and rape on a woman who wishes to Love and serve God, nor do I mean not being allowed as a fully qualified Teacher twice over, to Educate God's people who required it during difficult times, (with hundreds of pounds out of pocket to do so), on the response - listen to this one- "this is a Church!" While this very day they are using the Holy Church for the school children to carry out Drama! Meantime I with Advanced Drama as one of my subjects, from Glasgow University, after Educating this Church etc., to the fullest on the subject of Drama etc., are being absolutely treated worse than a seventh rate citizen!!! Pray for me for I could possibly see me coming out with the utter group misogyny (advanced stage too) of the selective "carry out" of the Catholic Church's, especially by the so called "righteous"!!! Pray for me to be with and ever loyal to God instead, thank you!!! Further, I am still "waiting" on the Magisterium to get back to me according to one in the Clergy. The latter was one who thought he was God. Please say "Thank you and Hello" to Holy Pope Francis too. (Please keep well and a very Happy Easter when it arrives!). Holy Pope Francis, is there an Ombudsmen to appeal to in the Holy RC Church or in the apparent "come together" Education System? All I got under that new experiment was the eyes of religious men upon me! Their poor wives! And the two contrasting states of family treatment experience also in society! Teach God! Stay with Jesus is one mystery that christians cannot chew much less observe
I cannot see how the exhortation to stay with Jesus be a performance of man's reciprocal obligation in the covenant with God
Stay with Jesus is an effective and efficient preaching to lead people to paganism and abandon observance of all his commandments
I cannot understand what to do with freedom to hope.I rather stay doing what my talents affords me to do because the word proclaims that talents burried in the ground will taken be taken by the lord and be given to someone who has more
Does the reflection "freedom to hope" answer the question "what does freedom mean to you?
What do we celebrate on good Friday?.This question should be answered correctly in order to lead us to a sense of purpose for the celebration
All the mysteries exposed during this Lenten season results to make christians fail to own the fruit of the grain that fall to the ground
"Freedom to hope", is this one of the food that Jesus Christ commanded St Peter to feed His lambs.I believe this is very unfortunate mystery.This put christians in total darkness.
It is very unfortunate that Christendom will reminisce Christ's victory over paganism with the following mysteries:floods and desert;my son is for you; sacrifice pleasing to god; God's gift of mercy; Jesus' clean heart;stay with Jesus.
Christendom will celebrate the fall of the grain into the ground without knowing what fruit to pick thereof because the episodes is exposed as mysteries
