Showed this to my father (Former Police Department Lieutenant and Current State Trooper) I’ve never seen him cry ever, this is the first time I’ve seen him bust into tears. He lost 3 buddies last year due to a drug bust and he’s been having a rough couple years.

I love this song thank you so much today was a bad day I had a asthma attack at the police station today and they called fire and EMS and I went to the hospital I respect all law enforcement officers they do so much for us I have a blue lives matter sticker on the back of my truck and I get comments all the time when cops drive by and see it

I come back to this song every so often since I will be going into law enforcement soon

I knew a man a good man he was a marine engineer he had got deployed to Afghanistan and he saved a little girls life by holding her tight he got shot at least 100 times his armor stopped most of the bullets from going straight through him I respect that man so much even in death god bless him and that little girl 🙏

Chase Curl is a Police Officer himself. His original song “Officer Down” was based off the shooting that killed his buddy. Chase Curl was on patrol in another part of the county when he heard the Officer Down call from his buddy. Chase Curl wanted to cope, and decided to use his guitar. But, during his time with the guitar, he created “Officer Down.”

I have an uncle who was a cop for the Boston Police department. He showed up to a crime scene where a young boy had fell in front of a snowblower and had his head cut off. My uncle had thought to himself, "that could have been my kid". After that, my uncle quit working in law enforcement. Now he sits in bars and gets drunk.
