About Me:
Hi, I'm Louise! I started this channel in 2009 after readers of my blog (also called Sprinkle of Glitter) suggested I give KZread a try. I was instantly hooked and have found my internet playground on here. I make videos about beauty & fashion, positive living, motherhood, lifestyle and occasionally have special guests (friends, kittens or my sweet Daughters Darcy, 8 and Pearl, 2). Hit the subscribe button to never miss a video again!
I try to upload every Wednesday evening and Sunday at 9am!
I chat every day on my other social media (linked above) so do come and say hi!
Big hugs,

I'm still at work as I'm classed as an essential worker. I work in a vegetable packing factory - I feel sometimes we are forgotten about though. I am in self isolation this week though as I have a sore throat, so just staying in with the kids and staying safe. Our town have started planning a huge 'post COVID-19' party for September (potential date, could be moved) to boost everyone spirits. Huge facebook page of 2.1k people planning this big party in the park when everything is back to normal x

I work in the NHS - I'm community based so that's scary, I have 3 children who I'm so scared for but I'm taking every precaution possible. I have a study week coming up so I'm grateful for that and needless to say I won't be doing any study or homeschooling. I will be holding my children close to me and doing lots of arts and crafts (as long as I can get hold of more! The world seems to have the same idea!) So glad you are still vlogging. It's so nice to escape. Well done Liam for the hard work you are doing and to all the other key workers. You are all amazing and I'm grateful to everyone for doing their best in keeping everyone safe and the shops well stocked. And for everyone else please stay home and keep yourselves save

I have felt so bad for all the new grad nurses and newly graduated medical students! You should feel immensley proud of yourself though. Just know that just being there with your patient period, no matter what you're capable of yet confident to do is all that matters to these patients and their families! You are appreciated, even though it might just feel like total chaos! And hopefully getting through this will leave you feeling like you can take on anything the rest of your career.

Myself and my fiancé are key workers as we work in a supermarket, and I have just returned to work as I’ve been on maternity leave as we have our 8 month old daughter. Honestly, I’ve never felt anxiety like it. I work in the self service part and it’s practically impossible to be 2 metres from people at all times, and if you ask someone to step back they just give you a dirty look so it can be uncomfortable at times. I’m asthmatic so we’re all just a bit concerned about getting it as well as not wanting our baby to get it either. I hope people continue to be nice and say thank you to key workers as we can’t actually social distance like most people. Thank you Louise for being amazing, your videos really help to distract and are relaxing at the same time. I’d love to watch your livestreams on instagram as I don’t do Facebook but I’m trying to stay off social media at the moment and only watch the news once a day to ease anxiety. Stay safe and healthy ❤️ p.s Gladys is awesome and I wouldn’t of known that she had existed if you hadn’t mentioned her 😊

I’m a paramedic in New Zealand, we are in full lockdown for 4 weeks but can go out for a walk and the community are putting teddy bears in their windows so we have the great New Zealand bear hunt and kids can spot them on their walks, it’s super cute. Thank you for your little shout out for the NHS (and of course all other essential workers). I work in the NHS, i work on a male psychiatric ward, we currently have 4 covid positive patients and while i absolutely salute every single nurse, doctor, HCA, OT, cleaner, porter working on the general side such as ITU and a&e, caring for mentally unwell, very psychotic patients who aren't ill enough to be able to lay down in bed all day they have little understanding of boundaries, they're intrusive, impulsive and spread the infection like wildfire and boy it is TOUGH. But all of us still working, we are all an important and integral part of the wheel that is keeping the UK spinning. Also i feel the need to say on this absolutely glorious and sunny weekend please remember 7 NHS staff have died (so far) from coronavirus, those who are working to help the dying are dying, please please stay inside, for us. Stay safe everyone this will be over soon.

I’m an RSPCA Inspector and a key worker so still working (animals don’t stop for pandemics!). Did a swan rescue on Friday afternoon in Sheffield because the female of a nesting pair had been bitten by a dog. The fire service came out to help us and the round of applause we got from the community around the pond once we’d caught the swan was lovely - some people out (socially distanced) and a lot of them clapping out of their windows. Then as I was driving away at 8pm so many people were out on their doorsteps clapping for the NHS and key workers! Was a very humbling experience! It’s lovely to see how people have pulled together to try and help those in need! P.S. Gladys the gap is beautiful!! Embrace the new smile 😊

I am a lab worker in the US. And I have been helping with the actual covid testing. My family lives in another state and I won't be able to see them for months. I also have a new niece due monday (April 6) and I probably wont meet her until June or July now which has really bummed me out. I have been video chatting with my family a lot and with my friends too. I also have been watching a lot of my favorite youtubers, (like you) and that always makes me feel part of a community and still connected. I have been watching your instastories (usually on my lunch breaks at work) and its nice to still feel 'in the loop' with the glitter crowd. I knew about your oral surgery but to be honest you really can not tell. It was only when you pointed it out that it was noticeable. :) Thanks for being you. I try to finish at about 3 or 4ish but after that I do feel a bit strange and you remember about being in lockdown more. It feels so surreal all this and everything is so uncertain I can't imagine what it was like being in ww2 when not only were things uncertain but you were likely to die or have places destroyed! Have you ever thought about getting Darcy some sequin art? It does require adult supervision as it contains pins but for the current situation we are all in, it might be a nice way for her to relax and be creative. They do ones with pegs aswell so you just have to push them on pegs as a safer option. If you haven't heard of it before, it might be nice to check it out. Loved the video x

It's been really well received and I'm so glad I've been able to contribute in some way. Loving the Sunday video and your daily lives are keeping me sane x

We have a dedicated Covid 19 team and split the roads into sections and then leafleted them with name and number and what we can offer help with and when I got a leaflet through it made me feel as though if I needed someone there is someone to help. I still feel scared and worried about the situation but glad that our little community has pulled together and can help each other in this scary and uncertain situation.
