Stay at Home Choir: Sogno di Volare by Christopher Tin
Музыка
The Stay At Home Choir presents Christopher Tin's 'Sogno di Volare', performed by 3600 of our members and accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Our 'Sogno di Volare' project ran for four weeks at the start of 2021 and involved singers from all over the world. This epic final performance is the culmination of online rehearsals, masterclasses, and global socials led by composer Christopher Tin, choirmaster Graham Bier, Italian language coach Matteo Dalle Fratte, and Stay At Home Choir co-founders Tori Longdon and Jamie Wright.
Due to a technical glitch, one of our members' names was missed off the credits! We're really sorry about this and would like to also thank Colette Halliday for her contribution.

Amazing work of yours, and this co-op...!
My mum cried when she saw this video for the first time. She didn't know anything at all about what I was about, she was so surprised. And so am I, it was the fulfilling of a dream to sing a Tin song like this together with so many great people all over the world. The result is overwhelming! Thanks Christopher for this outstanding piece of music! Thanks SAHC for making this possible!

You've moved me to tears, and that not an easy feat. OUT OF THIS WORLD! On a different note... Everyone: there's no way on earth you can properly organize a choir from home and make it sound pleasant. Christopher Tin: Hold my beer!
Well done to everyone who took part. It was a pleasure putting it all together and working to bring this truly epic composition to life. (Jeremy Hubbard - SAHC Video Producer)

I think this is the most spectacular SAHC video to date! Watching & listening gave me shivers! Thank you so much for editing everything together and producing such an amazing final product!!
By far, the best thing to come out of COVID lockdown is this group.... and this project reminds us we can still soar together as one! Beautiful, thank you all xxx
This is the proof that this song deserves the title of "National Anthem of Humankind". So many people from so many different places, singing a song of a humankind's Ambition and Achievement by Science. This video gives me the hope that even in time of this great suffering by the virus, We shall Win by Science.
❤️❤️❤️Majestic. Thank you Christopher Tin, the SAHC team, and my choir family. Thank you for taking this flight with me. 🚀
A moment of silence for people who were born deaf not able to hear this masterpiece, and be grateful that we are born not deaf and fortunate to hear this in our current life
I've just watched this again for the first time since it was released and I'm in bits! So proud to have been a tiny part of this project. Thank you to all Homies, Christopher and Tori and Jamie of course. We were all on another planet in 2021 and that's why it's still so emotional.
So many emotions on watching this: - The swell of hope and love I always get when listening to this song. - Regret for not participating in the project. - Gladness that the project was such a massive success. - Gratitude to everyone involved for creating this and sharing it with the rest of us. - Even more gratitude for including Mr. Whittaker, and through him the deaf and hearing-impaired. They might not be able to hear the actual music, or the 3600 voices joined with the orchestra to create it, but even the lyrics have power.
my mom is in this and it made me cry, it is powerful and beautiful
So proud to be part of this joy ,wonderful. Thank you all and especially Christopher Tin. Let's continue.........................
👏👏💖✈️🎼Wow! Thank you SAHC, Christopher Tin & all my fellow singers! Our Sogno is epic & I’m so proud to have been a part of it. Congratulations all!! 🎉
I never get tired of watching this. My greatest wish is that I'd known about SAHC then. I'd have signed up back then instead of last year. What a fantastically-symbolic project.
So powerful! The track on the radio on Friday didn't quite get me as strongly as this, as it didn't quite sound like a huge choir, but today with the video it really moved me, several breath-taking moments as the music builds up. Just wonderful, so pleased to have had the opportunity to take part in this project. And the final shot of the Earth globe made up of all our pixelated faces was genius! Thanks to the SAHC elves, to Tori and Jamie, and to Christopher Tin.
Thank you to all the organizers! It was so much fun to be part of the project!
Such an honour to be amongst the 3600 singers in this. Thank you, Stay at Home Choir for the opportunity!
My heart definitely skipped a beat at that first view over the wing out the airplane window...I haven't been in the air since March 13, 2020 and I miss it tremendously. Participating in this project with many of my students from the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey was extra special! ✈️
With tears of joy and happiness! What a beautiful moment we have created. Thank you, thank you.
If it's not too much to ask, we should definetly do this again.
So privileged to be a part of this. Thank you Christopher Tin for some amazing music.
This is it, Christopher. You officially deserve to be inducted into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame. What a magnificent and inspiring project you have created. Sogno di Volare is perhaps one of the most majestic pieces of music ever composed and you have brought together thousands of people from around the world to sing it together. What an impressive feat! I had tears in my eyes when I watched this glorious video. Thank you, maestro, and all the beautiful people who contributed to this amazing undertaking. 🙏🏼
What a fantastic experience . . . with great appreciation to Christopher, Tori, Jamie, and every person who helped make this possible!
this song gives me hope, thank you to everyone for singing it together
Thank you Christopher Tin and SAHC! 😍 It was big honor to be a part of this amaizing project. There aren't enough words to be able describe the feeling now. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Christopher and team. You gave the world hope. Together, humankind will stand with love and peace. 🥰
What an incredible production. Well done to everyone involved. So proud to have been a part of it .... a very small part it may have been.
Thank you Christopher Tin and The Stay at Home Choir for letting me be part of this
It's worth another look. This is so gorgeous ❤❤❤😊
Immensely proud to have played a small part in this epic project. Thank you SAHC and Christopher Tin for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Thank you, Christopher and all.
I'm so happy & grateful to see & hear us singing this magnificent music, with our voices & faces we filmed in our own homes, continents apart, paired with the legendary Royal Philharmonic that commissioned Beethoven to write his 9th symphony, joined with visuals of us sharing our beloved planet! Fantastic.
If you have the ability to watch this with good speakers or headphones (I know the gamers have that stuff), it sounds amazing. From 3:18 to the end you get that tingly feeling in your spine because everything comes together perfectly which is so rare in a live performance but I thought was unimaginable with people using what every they have at home to record their audio and video. Simply Fantastic.
It was such an amazing honor to be among the more than 3,600 participants for this incredible project. I fell in love with Christopher Tin's music ages ago, with this and Mado Kara Mieru being my absolute top favorites. Adjusting to a mostly virtual setting over the past year or so has been a huge learning curve for me, but I'm so glad I took the chance and jumped headfirst into this project. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the entire, amazingly dedicated crew of people behind the Stay at Home Choir and the production of this work, and to Christopher Tin himself for both composing and participating in this epic piece along with all of us. The past year has been jarring and challenging for sure, but it's also led to such amazing opportunities as being able to sing in a 3,600-person choir with my fellow performers from across the entire globe. I will forever cherish these collaborations and the absolute joy and fulfillment they bring to so many of us around the world.
Inspiring graphics support the wonderful composition by Christopher Tin! Many thanks to Tori and Jamie and the SAHC team. I am so proud to have taken part.
Wonderful Musik for all people of the World 🧡🧡🧡🧡
INCREDIBLE performance!!! WOW!
So excited and proud to have participated in this piece. Thank you Christopher Tin and SAHC for this experience! (Yael, Israel).
This popped up on my You Tube today (9/25/21). How amazingly wonderful!!! My soul was soaring to heaven when I heard this choir sing this piece. It is also a humbling experience to be in the presence of such bountiful talent. My sincere thanks to everyone who shared their gifts w/the planet.
I played the game that had this music but this one sounds beautiful
If you have excellent speakers, you are even more immersed and transported to another dimension of music. Love it!
Hard to find the right superlatives for this production! From start to finish the Sogno di Volare project has been a wonderful experience. Big thanks to all of the technical wizards who stitched the vocals together and realised the video presentation- it truly soared above the trails and tribulations of the past months - this has given so much pleasure as a participant. I can’t wait to tell my friends to watch and listen.
Wehey, it's out! Good job everyone, sounds and looks great
OH WOW! That made me cry - in a good way. It's spectacular and the colours are beautiful. Thank you so much SAHC and Christopher Tin xx
I'm tearing up. This is beautiful!

OMG!! That was amazing. So honoured to be a part of it. Even managed to spot myself, woop woop!! :-) xx
This is AMAZING! I'm proud to be a part of this epic MASTERPIECE!
I love Chris Tin so much. His music gives so much legitimacy to gaming and everyone is so lucky his work continues to stun. Genuinely believe his music will go down i history much like Mozart, Elgar etc. He's just so bloody good!!!!!!!!
Love, love, love it!
EPIC! Thank you Chris, Tori, Jamie, SAHC team, all singers and all involved! What a flight we took together!
Thank you SAHC for keeping us connected and sharing your passion and love for glorious music and giving us the opportunity to meet virtually, learn and perform Christopher Tin’s philosophical piece during unprecedented Covid lockdowns across the globe. The final product of this collaborative project involving an amazing composer music exploration, the 3600 singers eagerness to keep their musical souls alive, the creative video and audio houses work, our language and singing part virtual tutorials perfectionists contributors and more … is splendid! Salute!
I've seriously been waiting all year for this! Incredible sound and it is amazing to see the participation and passion in this project.

For me ... that shot at the end of the jettisoning of the rocket stage, then focusing in on "the world" below. (But then I always was a great fan of the space programmes going right back to the 60s).
3K+voices! Kudos to the technicians! Well done. My friend Linda is a member voice. Kudos to her too!
Congratulations to everyone involved!!
Goosebumps, tears, gratitude.
