Hi, I like you explanation but I am a little confused with how you derived the critical value -1.64. Since this is a left tail test with alpha .05, shouldn't the Z critical value be -1.96 (95%) instead?

using the table. 95% in the table is 1.645, so 5% is negative

You should look up the normal distribution table which can be found on google.

How do you do step 4 without the calculator?

why are you using a claculator find the critical value instead of explaining it
