How do you keep the ice cream from melting before you get home? Sometimes, it's SUPER hot here (103 degrees F), and ice cream and popsicles die quickly. 😂

Aww your son saying he felt sorry for the owls. 😍 I thought that too at first but they look incredibly well cared for and pampered to me, especially the grumpy one 😂. I’m sure they’re not on the perch for to long just long enough for you to learn all about them. Love all your vlogs especially the cooking, I have introduced some of your tips into my dishes here in 🇬🇧

What a beautiful afternoon for mommy & the boys! Such sweet gentlemen to hold the door & to be concerned about the owls. I’m so glad mommy overcame her fear to pet those majestic birds. Hi Linna! The Owl Café was definitely an interesting experience, and I agree with your boys, but the owls at least seem very loved and cared for. I am happy that they aren't being physically abused. The ethics behind animal cafes can get a little tough, but there is not much I can say about it without getting into fights with people. Either way, your boys seem very empathetic and that's so wonderful; you've raised them amazingly and I know they'll do great things one day ❤

Owl cafes are cruel. They keep them awake against their natural sleep cycle they are nocturnal birds. They are also kept in confined spaces and not allowed to fly. Japan unfortunately has no animal laws to protect them from being used in commercial practice. Dogs, cats and exotic animals are frequently sold in pet shops and come from unregulated backyard pet breeders.

I love seeing what Daiso has, but I always buy way to much there (at Can Do and the others as well😅 many small thing add up fast). My daughter's birthday is a month away so I'm also started planning. With my mom we need to decide what kind of cake she will make this year. I remember you showing us that cafe when you went with your mom friends. Great that they have a cookbook. I love that these places make them. I have one from Ootoya. It's fun to recreate what you had at home. I have fond memories of Totoro; it was the first movie I was able to follow in Japanese. I eat a lot of gyoza soup lately for lunch. My favourite way of making it is with the 3x strength kombu dashi, a splash of shiro dashi and an egg added. And dilute the kombu dashi just a little bit less then it says on the instructions for a rich broth.

I don’t know because it was my first time in an owl cafe, and second time in an animal cafe after the dog cafe. We were told the owls would bite if they are unhappy. Some were trying to bite the kids so we learned that they don’t want us to touch them. So I assume they are really trained to amaze us.

I understand your concerns. For me Cafés with animals can be controversial due to potential negative effects on the animals' well-being. However, there are places that provide proper conditions and care for the animals, such as limiting the number of guests or providing them with adequate space and opportunities to rest. As for owls, wild animals are require special care. A better solution for animals in need is to support shelters and organizations dedicated to their rehabilitation. For such animals, it's too many stimuli, whether it's a cat, dog, or bird. You wouldn't want strangers touching you every day either.

Will you all please stop this negativity towards the owl cafe post . I used to work in one before my 3rd child was born. I will give you some facts. They are cared for like family, they are treated very well indeed and get regular food and exercise. Visits are limited and the owls are rotated out so they don’t show signs of distress. You have pay if you want to touch an owl. You must also wash your hands before and after handling the owl. Owl cafes are only opened limited times as to not put distress on the animals. So please leave leave lina alone. And all this rubbish about animal in Japan is rubbish. We love our animals and are even treat like gods and shrine animals. So please think about this next time you post anything negative.

I am so sorry for you get up set because of my vlog. There are so many aspects to consider before we can judge something, and so many different points of view at the same time. Sometimes we just can’t care too much, I think. Thank you for trying to protect me and my work. But really, I care about you more than the negative comments, please stay happy 🥰

You need to be better educated in what a natural environment is for birds of prey. They are not meant to be kept as pets.

@@LinnainJapan Dear Linna, you don´t need to appologize, hold your beliefs; any wildlife animal in captivity with or without good care is a PRISONER, they belong to the nature, freedom and the right to procreate themselves, as I read in comments, they´re nightlife birds and an important chain in the rodents control. Thanks for share your videos, I love them. Hugs, 🤗

@@purberri ohh really well isn’t it funny when I was in the UK visiting my family there was a poor eagle chained up at a wildlife park and Everytime it tried to fly up the handler yanked on its chain to pull it down. It got so bad my 10 year old screamed at the man to stop. He just swore at him. Owls are starting to become rare. So I believe it is fine for them to be like this. They were not ill treated or malnourished. So please get off your soapboxes . Go look at other countries before calling ours. Really these woke weak people really annoy me . What next we can’t keep cats and dogs as they should be free. Please leave Lina alone. You don’t understand our culture and if you don’t like don’t watch simple. They were not in any distress or danger. The chain is to stop them from, flying around . They are not butterflies. Please show some respect to the creator in future as she puts in a lot of work to do these vlogs.
