Sharpeners that don’t sharpen, When pages rip or bend, broken stationary
I seriously love Josh's expressions! hahahah And Steph's narration is always fun! The worst offender is hands down number 5! You have no idea how enraged I used to get (not anymore because I know what I like) when I would get an eraser and learn it not only didn't erase but smudged, smeared, made a mess of my paper. So infuriating. You are no eraser! You are a disgrace to your kind! Dishonor for you, your family and your cow!
You forgot to mention white out. I hate it when it doesn't roll off smoothly and just creates a big mess.

My two biggest pet peeves are when you have pens or pencils that have clips but they always snap off! Another pet peeve I have is when I try to erase something and I accidentally scrunch up the entire page!

I usually recommend a soft eraser for the eraser case.
one thing that always irks me is when the cap of pens doesn't fit on the back. i prefer capped pens but when the caps don't fit i will lose them and then have to deal with a dried pen or ink that gets everywhere

I have never relate with anything more than this statement 🤣🤣🤣
2:24 I actually like rulers that don't start at zero cause if you overline, then you won't get that skip at the edge where the line is straight then suddenly crooked. Also, if the edges ever get damaged it doesn't mess up the length or the lines cause you have that extra space as collateral.
@kyris66

yes. This. My actual pet peeve is with thoes that start at zero, but the corners are rounded.
My pet peeve: what American pens consider fine vs what Japanese pen manufacturers consider fine. Gel pens at 0.5mm are not that fine.
"Oy, Look at that beauty there!"-- killed me dead. Bless your heart, Stephanie. You my girl.
@2:24: 0 not starting at the edge is a good thing. Overtime, the corners of the ruler will wear, meaning fhe first few lines will become unusable. This will save subtracting numbers later.
@randy-9842

Mason R -- exactly. You beat me to it! I do, however, understand their point for _some_ uses. Also - if you use a "Scale" -- NEVER use it as a straight edge. Use it only to measure. Using it as a straight edge wears the markings off.

I’ll add some pet peeves here too! Since these focused on other sides in stationery, I’ll include some for my fellow fountain pen users. - When you see someone online writing with a fountain pen with a death grip. This causes me actual pain… - Ink bottles that have ink gunk around the mouth - When your favorite ballpen runs out of ink and you don’t have a replacement refill - When someone grabs or borrows one of your pens without asking - “Is that a calligraphy pen” - an innocent question from a non-fountain pen user that I hear a lot. Luckily it’s fun to educate them on more of the stationery world
My pet peeve is erasers breaking apart. I’m trying to erase and a chunk rips off! No. I’m getting stressed just thinking about it. 😂
pen gremlin josh is the hero we need but dont deserve
Josh is quickly turning into the internet’s no.1 cult personality. Go Josh!
My pet peeve: when I don't have more space to keep my insane collection of notebooks (most of them I never use)
My pet peeve - mechanical pencil that keep breaking or falling out of the pencil. Yes, I know JP has solutions for these issues.
A pet peeve of mine is the fancy planners that have the rings that always seems to cause the page to slip off of it at the bottom and then the book won't close properly.
I think the extra space before 0 on rulers are to prevent wear from scratching off the lines.
@ChristianTorres07
2 жыл бұрын
And the ruler is usually rounded before the 0 mark line, so I find the little space quite helpful! 😄
My biggest pet peeve is cheap paper. I wouldn't give my worse enemy cheap paper.
it was fun to guess which product they were gonna recommend for each problem lmao
My pet peeve is when my pens/ pencils/ or markers are too long for the pen case I'm using! You have to put it in diagonally and the case feels like its squeezing my poor supplies... I just can't take it. Gotta have a loooong case as backup!
I know I'm late to this, but I think I have some useful knowledge: The rulers that don't start right at the tip of the rulers are build that way for longevity. If the tip breaks off, your ruler is still usable! It's common on rulers and marking sticks that are used in construction.
Can we get a video showcasing products that are eco-friendly? I love the plastic rings on japanese notebooks and binders but are they recyclable after reusing until they no longer work?

I have a few novelty pens I'm going to try to open up now to try that trick. Because I got suckered into buying We Bare Bears pens by their cuteness but they are so unreliable I want to throw them across the room every time I use them 😂
Added peeves (Yeah, I have a few): 1) The WILD variance in graphite grades between brands (especially if you like Japanese pencils and move to Euro or American brands) 2) Handheld pencil sharpeners that dull quickly forcing to keep twisting away 3) The dreaded ballpoint pen glob when writing (if you use a 1.4 or 1.6mm refill) 4) Gel pens that wick into your pant pockets if even a tiny bit of lint makes contact with the refill 5) Pens with non-standard size refills (and pen bodies that are just oddly narrow so as to not accept other refills)
Wait there are rulers that don't start at zero 🤯 I will look this up, I need that in my life! No more aligning to edges, no more worries my measurements are off, just have a few mm next to the zero would be such a lifesaver!
Okey but... How ironic that I thought the most scratchiest pen is actually the Uniball Signo in it's finest point 🤣 Not the needle tip type but the normal one in 0.38. It tore up my homework once because og its pointyness
@z1LeaF
3 жыл бұрын
Maybe you got a bad batch because 0.38 glides like butter for me! my everyday pen! They even have thinner at 0.28 but that might be a bit too thin for me
@afasimpaur

@@z1LeaF I think I need the 0.28!!! I sometimes make little tiny necklace books and I often find that I can't draw or write in them the way I want because I can't find pens or pencils that consistently make thin enough lines.

Please do a series on these... i love em soo much!❤❤
Random ruler fact I just happened to know: A rulers that starts at zero is called a 'Rule'.
Oh god, I was terrified when Josh closed the metal binder with his finger in the way, RIP fingers
When pen caps don't stay on the end of the pen.....it pops off and you have to look like a dork trying to catch it. Fell out of a chair once.
You have nailed all my stationery pet peeves
Thank for sharing. I'm a uni-ball signo 0.28 fan. Love them. So true on all your uploads. Binder rings that goes🥴. Erasers that don't erase properly. Thank, you again. Love the expressions on the guy😂😂. He's hilarious.
I honestly don't know if "Treat yoself" was a Parks and Rec reference but IAM LIVING FOR IT
Why does every stationery and pen manufacturer LOVE black ink as automatic default pen color??!!! I demand justice for my wonderful, underappreciated blue ink 💙 And what about running out of ink with your favorite pen and then NOT being able to find the HUGE box of refill cartridges you bought to refill it? 🤬 #organization #struggleisreal #penhoarder
Love it!! It’s like you read my mind!
Guys, I loved your new format!
Perfect time with school right around the corner. His expressions are hilarious & add them together they're so silly.
Going old school … when someone in the offices moves one or more of the punches in a three hole punch and you end up with a torn or mispunched paper. Three hole binder bites suck. A lot.
See, the problem with those 3-ring binders with finger guillotines is that schools often force you to buy those. I had a high school teacher who forced us to buy a really thick one and carry every single assignment until the end up the school year. Did we need to refer to them often? Never! Thanks for the backaches, teacher with hoarder instincts. Have you ever had to use one of those cheapy particle board material clipboards and then they stab you with a splinter? You can add that one to the list.
Gawd Dang it! You guys are so Entertaining, Hilarious, and of course..Informative (a must); we luv 'EVERYTHING' about you!!! Go JetPens!! ❣ 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼♂️ 🇨🇦
I love the Parks + Rec reference at the end!
Omg this is so true!❤️
I bought a sakura eraser once to get to the free shipping minimum and now I have at least 1 in every size. I did not expect such a cheap eraser to be so good and become an integral part to my drawing process.
I love these types of videos! Stuff like this and the biggest no-nos!
DOUBLE VIDEO YESSSSSSSSSS
I love your stationery your amazing and have great people for acting . Love you
Love your videos! They are so fun!
I feel so understood and it’s nice!
I agree to all of these as a fellow stationery addict! Oh and thanks for teling me to treat myself at the end I already did actually :).
All of the above! :D With the eraser thing I HATE IT when it tears the paper. . .AAAAAgggggghhhhh!!!!!
Everything on point!!🤣🤣🤣
what makes me happy? when jetpens post a new vid
These made me laugh 😂 they're so relatable
Lol. Always love these videos🤣
Hooray, Josh is back!!!
I love Josh's expressions, and I really love the original intro idea, though I can see why you'd decided not to lead with it. We stationery lovers don't need any more shaming! (We'll happily do it ourselves :p ) Thank you again for another great video and for making me smile. :D
the expressions josh makes are so relatable lol those who don't love stationery definitely think we are crazy ~
Staedtler makes good pencils. I have a sizeable stash of Noricas. They're a bit soft though and wear out quick. (Which is why I have a sizeable stash of them.)
#3 kills me every time
Yaaay this is the best 👍
Josh and his ring, I mean pens. LOL! 'My preciousss' ❤️
4:35 I LOVE that Mildliner palette too *0*
I loved it when Josh flipped the table lol
My pet peeve will be when I accidentally knock my eraser off the table and it magically disappears so I have to bend down to look for it, only to find it right next to where my feet were seconds ago
JETPENS makes ALWAYS Fun !!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
4, 5, 7, and 8 for me. & in particular is a MASSIVE pet peeve for me. I've stopped using spiral bound notebooks entirely for that reason.
'Treat yo self!" is now my mantra for the day!
Totally support!! 👏👏👏💪
Josh is awesome! More, please! 😁💕
omg, he's so funny! great video!
Rulers have a space at the end before zero because you might keep it a long time, and the end will wear down. That happens more often with wooden rulers than metal, but still.
Glad I'm not the only one that hates when the notebook rings get squished
0:04 I have those highlighters! Ohto Rats: a must for left handed!!
Biggest headache right now is a Pilot Plumix eyedroppered pen that leaks through the freakin’ nib after writing for about a minute! 🔥☠️🔥
When you spend a little more for a higher standard pen that stops writing after a week....but you buy a super cheap ordinary pen that you use to the end! Have seen how pencils are made & am now ashamed to waste a single pencil. In Japan, children tape two short pencils to lengthen it rather than throw it away.
I love that my school actually sells some of this pens.
I got pinched by the 3 ring binder in elementary school. Not until I found out about the Kokuyo slide binder that binders became my favorite notebook type. There are separate ring strips and plastic covers and that allows you to make ring -notebook-style-and-size binders. These notebook size binders is more like regular ring notebooks because you can flip the pages over, more like the Aquadrop twist ring or the Kokuyo smart ring notebook binders, unlike regular binders.
y’all are fun! 😜
After "pens are our best friendsss", the way Josh looked at it, I thought he was gonna hug it LOL
I really hate it when the glue from washitapes doesn't stay in their place and gets the surface of tape below it sticky, and when I can't find the right thickness of pen nib even after having tons of pens 😀
mainly dry pens, erasers that don't erase, and the scratchy lead in Ticonderoga "pencils"
Very and Very nice , Thanks .
love you people !
The metal binders use the tabs at bottom and top to open and close, safe fingers
I always feel identified with these videos😂😂
I live for these videos... they are so informative and hella funny at the same time. :D I may add to the list one: family that does not understand that buying stationery is not a waste of money even if I have 3560000 empty notebooks and thrillion pens :D :D :D
I can totally relate to Josh in the original intro idea! 😂😂😂
Ha the ruler one is so true.
Tip ; you got so much pencils fineliners markers but the pencilbag is still too small
One problem that plagues most Filipino students is a ballpoint pen or a gel pen that stops writing once it falls on the ground, and they really hate that issue!😁🤨
The JetPens videos got me addicted to youTube. Always informative, well put together with wit and playfulness, but please .... not too silly, ok? :)
bending a needle point tip from needle point pens like the hi tech c or hi techpoint v7 and v5
The reason why you should use a nonzero edge ruler: you can see EXACTLY where zero is, not worrying that the end has been worn down and inaccurate.
