STATE SEEKING DGP’s TRANSFER; WHY IS POOJA SHARMA NOT JOINING THE INVESTIGATION?
The State government is preparing the way for the Goa DGP Jaspal Singh’s transfer, according to highly placed government sources. Alternatively it may seek to relieve him. In other developments, the Mapusa JMFC has extended the police remand of Arshad Khwaja by two days, whereas Ashpak Shaikh has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody. Meanwhile, the haunting question arises as to why the main accused Pooja Sharma has not joined the investigation, even though the Agarwadekar family has declared her innocent?

There is now a doubt whether DGP Jaspal Singh is guilty or not. Amit Palekar is alleging something else and pointing the finger at the others in the Police department. So what’s really happening, I don’t know. But I worry for Goa and true Goans.

Yes, there is no Kumar. But I think we should not be hasty to judge the house occupant. We don’t know who and what sort of threats have been issued to the family, although if any such threats were issued they could have confided in their so many well wishes, including high profile advocates in opposition parties. Not least, the family could have told the CM about the threats.

Mr A. Palekar said that the DGP was made a scapegoat. He may be right, if the DGP is a Sardar. Based on my interaction with a few Sikh families--many years ago, I could say the men are God fearing, their beliefs are based on courage, love, equality, dignity and respect. Their belief that it is their duty to protect every human being is indeed commendable. Why can't the media trace that woman Pooja Sharma until now? I know our CM will take stern action against all those involved--maybe he is scared. If all Goans are behind him, I am sure, he will outshine and show what Goa is. About that dramabaaz woman who was crying and asking if she should commit suicide. There is no need for her to commit suicide, she should just leave Goa and go back to her state and be with her people. If she is in Goa, she can come up with different false stories in the future and blame Goans and do anything.
