I read this Book and was totally fascinated by it. I love how you can go on KZread and actually see and research the area’s where this took place. Being a Nurse myself it defies any logic how people freely went without any proper nutrition for the extended periods of time,for over a month and loner. There are benefits from intermittent fasting in a controlled environment for short periods of time-so she was onto something……… I still find this book by Greg Olsen as one of his best.True Crime.

Very interesting! The not doctor was actually on to something, if she had actually given a damn about her patients. "Autophagy" is real, and when done correctly, fasting really can be incredibly beneficial.

You should check out Nothern State Hospital. It was a insane asylum, but in 2007 it was known as cascade job corps.

left out all the rumors of the bodies missing and being buried in the basement that was reported to be discovered. and it supposedly being the most haunted place in Washington. I wrote to the author of that book when I was researching this and the house on the property resides on the same location. they used to do tours but no longer like visitors.

As a person who grew up locally, you did an absolutely disappointing job explaining this awful piece of our local history, in addition, you didn't have all the correct tribe names for the area, actually you didn't name the local tribe for this specific area at all which is ridiculous since Seattle is literally named after their cheif! nor did you pronounce the ones you did list correctly... I love how you show images of the fucking TACOMA dome and tacoma car museum... I guess you're technically right Tacoma would be the " Seattle metropolitan area" technically yeah, Tacoma is a surrounding city.. but people don't live in Tacoma and say they live in Seattle... it's over 30 minutes away! And no one here would show a picture of Tacoma and be like LoOk At SeAtTlE! Sorry the space needle being under construction wasn't photo worthy for you! BTW Olalla isn't a part of the " Seattle metropolitan area" at all it's in a completely different county even! All those picturesque ferry photos you see from Seattle are headed to Kitsap county where olalla resides! The sanitarium grounds and the once remaining house was an awesome spooky tale for everyone I knew growing up, and they would open it up from time to time for walk throughs.( I believe it has been torn down now to prevent the paranormal people breaking in and the vandals) And I find it incredibly thoughtless for a tourist to come to olalla and trample through the children's graveyard above the water like you did,it had absolutely nothing to do with this story, and was from a sickness that took many of the local berry farmer's kids just for the views... neither the graveyard above the water or the graveyard on mullinax are completely abandoned locals take care of them! and some locals claim to have distant family buried there and they don't appreciate tourists trampling over them especially the children's graveyard which is missing a ton of headstones!l from tourists! What a Terrible job you did on this story, a complete lack of investigation and depth of the horrors that went down while totally not showing any respect for the area!

Unwatchable. Stick to the content and remove your face. A narrator should be heard and not seen.
