That was an excellent explanation on how this heater works. I'm currently having issues with ours and troubleshooting it. This was VERY helpful! Thanks!

Thank you for this. I have a pentair 250. Everything seems to be working and heat coming out the vent but no heated water out of the jets?

My pentair max e therm 33HD keeps immediately tripping the breaker when I try to turn it on. Spring startup and it worked fine in the fall. Everything in the breaker box looks dry. I started my pump and salt generators, got it all going, tried to turn on the breaker and it immediately trips. Any ideas?

Since it worked before I would check the wiring. A rodent could've gotten inside and chewed up the wiring.

@@swimmingpoolchemistrydoner5569 It's all looking clean dry and good. Maybe it's a bad breaker. It trips immediately upon reset, so not even time for something to be tripping it.

Turn breaker off. Disconnect the load side wires and see if the breaker still does not reset. If it trips, replace the breaker. If it doesn't it has to be something with the heater.
