One pull and it's off and running. When I think of all the effort I put into trying to start our neighbours A model with the brass petcocks 1/2 inch away from bare spark plug leads, old age makes me shudder. love the video, thank you.

Watch out that the dangerous spinning blender thing doesn't catch your sleeve and tear off an arm.

A well oiled machine. I did not know the first D's shared some of the same components such as the carb and magneto.

Waterloo Boy, the tractor that became John Deere. I notice it has small gasoline tank at the rear, was that for initial start up and then it was switched to the main (kerosene) tank?

I wonder why JD done away with the crank. I can crank a tractor where I havnt been able to start a D since I was 50. Im 72 now and still crank a CC Case, and a 40 B Farmall

William Christopher my guess was price + the Waterloo Boys cranks would sometimes stick if you didn’t keep the hub greased.
